Sorry Disney for my despicable underworld source of entertainment

" Life finds a way ..."

sorry wrong franchise :) but a live action JP seems to be on my next wish list,

kudos to the makers, the feel and the look of the show is great, there are some issues that I am not happy about the plot but that is expected from all of the new tv shows.

I hoped for a double episode release, now I have to wait till Friday for that.

Yet somehow we in the Netherlands already have Disney+ as the only European country. So I think a lot still needs to be done on a country level instead of EU level.

I really liked the first episode and hope it grows into a great series.

Seems like "The Netherlands second" paid off.

I saw the first two episodes today. It reminds me of "Okami" the samurai with the child. It really goes back to the Star Wars roots which lie in jidai-geki-films like "Hidden Fortress", Western and used-look SciFi. Works for me so far.

It didn't work for me. The visuals are perfect, but the character development and story are below average. Hope it will improve.

You are spot on in this assessment. I was thinking of the old comic "Lone Wolf and Cub" (I didn't know/remember the Okami name). The show is very derivative of Westerns, particularly the spaghetti westerns that didn't have a lot of dialog. Happily, I love those movies and am therefore enjoying The Mandalorian.

I didn't read the manga but saw the TV-show. "Okami" was maybe only its name in Germany as we tend to give films funny names that don't resemble the original film-titles and don't relate to the story.

Now, as you said so, it seems to me you're right with the spaghetti western. The lone and taciturn bounty hunter as a hero, killing dozens of villains is clearly a trope of this genre. Even the gatling gun totally makes sense now!

This show is amazing so far. It’s some of my favorite Star Wars, it’s so fun.

Episode 3 had me glued to my seat.

Their Mandalorian is a... really fantastic actor. You know the scene I'm referring to, but...nevermind carrying a scene with no dialog but facial expressions... you can't even see his face . He is conveying a heck of a lot of meaning with just body language .
