New Mandalorian ‘TIE’

By Imperial Advisor Arem Heshvaun, in X-Wing

Outland TIE (?)

I’ll get details soon.

It looks kinda Arc-ish. Curious what kind of role it would play. Maybe similarly to the N1? Nimble but soft?

Tie-X

It is almost identical to the force awakens concept art, folding wings for planet side ops.

Odd...

It looks like the wings probably just move back into place once it takes off, so it would then look like a regular Tie Fighter. It’s just a more practical Tie when you have to land it on a planet somewhere. It could also be Ties that were captured and modified to be able to land in this way and be more hidden on the ground.

Looks like a dragonfly to me.

Another idea is it could have been modified by imperial remnants to not need the special hanger bays due to reduced resources and territory.

Pretty much everything in that book has got used, sooner or later. The sunken death star, the triangle-wing TIEs in the cover, you name it.

There's that battlescape around the crashed destroyer which looks epic which I'd have loved to see, though.
