Stupid jumpmaster tricks

By Cerebrawl, in X-Wing Squad Lists

(47) Manaroo [JumpMaster 5000]

(4) Feedback Array
(2) Tactical Scrambler
(3) Intimidation
Points: 56

(33) Unkar Plutt [Quadrijet Transfer Spacetug]
Points: 33

(50) Talonbane Cobra [Kihraxz Fighter]
(2) Predator
Points: 52

(56) Old Teroch [Fang Fighter]
(2) Predator
Points: 58

Total points: 199

Block with Manaroo, trap any blocked aces, and kill them. Manaroo also shields the squadron from return fire. Unkar is secondary blocker and helps set up Manaroo blocks. Old Teroch and Talonbane are muscle for the kills and endgame ships. Manaroo will probably trade for 1-2 enemy ships while protecting the heavy hitters, make it count.

Take the word “tricks” out, and you have it basically summed up. 👍

Sorry.....

It's mostly because it's the cheapest and lowest initiative(tied) large base with a talent slot. Lattz is another 11 points, as is Sabine, and the falcon doesn't get a talent slot until Lando at initiative 4.

I just played around with your list a little, and came up with a version that might have a little more firepower.

Manaroo w/ Intimidation (50 pts)

Cartel Marauder (38 pts)

Cartel Marauder (38 pts)

Cartel Marauder (38 pts)

Crymorah goon (31 pts)
Ion cannon turret (5 pts)

Total build (200 pts)

Ig-88d is nice on Manaroo too.

Looks nice. I've done a similar build with Kath Scarlet, Contracted Scout+Feedback+Scrambler, and 2 Cartel Marauders and it went... okay-ish? Aside from Dengar, I feel like just slapping feedback+scrambler on a cheap pilot might be the best Jumpmaster loadout at the moment.
