Is there a general release date for Epic and Huge Conversion Kits?

By kierheyl, in X-Wing Epic Play

Will it be released along side wave 6? A little ahead? I've heard November but I can't find anything to back that up.

My FLGS has my preorder listed as the 8th of November.

Thanks!

Set on fire the Parlament our wallets!

@PartridgeKing is that for just Epic Battles, or for the Huge Ship Conversion Kit? The Upcoming page lists Epic Battles as on the boat while the Conversion Kit is still in development. But it also says the Nantex is still in development so 🤷‍♂️

@Parakitor that's for both. They also have a defined release date of the 27th of March for the card packs so... we shall see!

That's what Amazon says for the new Tantive IV expansion, too.

My copy of Epic Battles and the Tantive IV arrived yesterday. So I'm guessing they'll be updated to "for sale" rather then "late pre-order" in the store any day now.

For sale today at LGS.

In my hands and put on the table.

And they are now listed as "add to cart" rather then "Pre-order now" on the FFG store. So... they are released.

Hi,

do you know when the goods will be avalible in Germany?

No idea, you mean it's not released there yet?

I spoke to the shop of my trust and they didnt received them till now... 😡

Well that's a bit annoying. When I head out to my LGS later today I plan to place a pre-order for Saw's Renegades and the rebel A-Wing. As well the Hotshots & Aces, Fully Loaded, and Don't Tell Me the Odds packs.

My shop missed the pre-order because the owner was out, so I ordered them on Wednesday through Amazon from 2 different stores, and received them on Saturday.

I quite hate that Asmodeus enforces that store owners can't sell until Friday, even if the product comes in early. I game on Thursday nights and our store has always sold things that came in that day. Now, we have to wait to purchase things. As someone who can only game one night a week, it basically pushes it an entire week for me to buy and play with stuff. What's the point of not allowing stores to sell things when they get in?

You did know that even stores like Walmart are suppose to not put things out on the shelf until the release date, even if they got it in already. Right?

Yes, but Walmart is a far cry from my local game store. It was never an issue before Assmode and FFG merged.

My point was that stores can get in trouble for selling a product before the release date. I know of one local business that had ended up closing down after they got warned by Games Workshop and Wizards of the Coast but continued selling new products before their actual release date. Which in turn got the store blacklisted by those companies.

Y'all familiar with the term "snafu," right? Third release in a row where Asmodee ****** up the order to my flgs. SOP is apparently that when there is a mistake in one part of the order, the *whole* order must be returned and repacked and reshipped. So, at *least* a week late. And here I am trying desperately to rebuild the X-Wing community at thus shop. **********.

I'm going to agree with @Faerie1979 here. The publishing company I work with often has problems with the big named stores dropping books on sale early and it's a big headache. There's been times the authors tell the publisher the books are available and it's a rather awkward conversation when that happens. If there's a sale date, it's nice when everybody plays by the same rules.

Now, missing deliveries... that bugs the heck out of me. Our store gets every other wave on time.

I say that there had never been an issue with selling things on Thursday before. Now, though, with Assmode involved, we have a particular release date of Fridays. That I dislike.

Rephrase: You dislike having the release day changed from Thursday to Friday.

Is there some reason you can't go in on Friday to pick up the new stuff?
