When did I deride the people who liked it? Yeah, I deride the film, I dislike it. That doesn't mean that people should be dismissive/derisive of everyone who didn't like it. I don't want to kill anyone's enjoyment of it, I wish I could have enjoyed it.

Wow, you do have a short memory span, don't you?

Starkjunior's already called out your BS earlier in this thread, so you might want to scroll back to refresh your memory.

I repeat. The kriff? That was pointing out the fallibility of anecdotes! Go back and read my whole comment.

No, because he's not trying to pass his opinions of as indisputable facts, something that Benny and even you keep trying to do, making unsubstantiated claims as being irrefutable "facts" when they are the farthest thing.

Still didn't hear you or him countering my arguments about why movies are bad when I was mentioning things from movies (not polls/fans thing etc.). Like faster that light laser, weaponizing light speed and so on.

I have feeling you kind focus on semantics instead of really trying to explain why my arguments are invalid, which I would like to read.

I wrote plenty of arguments why I disliked them and all you do is write strawman posts without actually referring or counter-argument reasons why I didn't like movies

What strawman?
You seem to think that I am upset about you disliking the movie, I am not. I don’t appreciate you acting like you are the voice of fandom.

Starkjunior already blew holes in the bulk of your arguments, so why repeat what's already been said?

Will I be racist in your next post?

Depends on whether or not you will say something racist.

If that was the intent, then I made a snap judgment and I apologize for it. I've spent basically two years in the fandom with people who spew vitriol and toxicity and hate about the ST and many of them try to pass anecdotes off as facts or proof of something. Clearly, you aren't, and that's fine.

I'm just tired of finding it difficult to engage positively with people outside of my real life circles (and people I know in real life interacting with on the internet) in regards to the ST because there's almost always someone who comes in and tries to shame you for liking the ST.

Then when I did say something sexist?

Is he your hero or something? I didn't see any holes in my arguments about movies itself, only about the part when we moved into polls/fans/audience etc.

He didn't even once discuss about my points about movie plot poitns I mentioned.

I accept your apology, and I understand where you are coming from. I too, am tired of me and people who agree with me being derided for our viewpoints on TLJ. I have done my best to never criticize or deride someone for liking TLJ. Thank you for lowering my blood pressure a few notches, I think I've had enough of this thread.

I didn't mention any of those because no amount of attempting to point out things about those will change your mind, probably. I've been doing it ever since TFA came out and no one ever does. An example, Rey is not a Mary Sue, because she doesn't actually do anything that Anakin or Luke couldn't do, but you know, that's not an argument rooted in facts, but rather feeling, so you can't sway people from it. It's also a dumb argument. And people better than me have written plenty about why she isn't a Mary Sue. Go read them if you want.

What I did dispute was using anything from a rumor site or a YouTube pundit - which is where those 5-6 endings come from - as proof of anything, because it's all nonsense.

And you can absolutely rebuild strength in a year. It's Star Wars. Plenty of people can be inspired to rise up in a year.

Oh my god... I came to this thread this morning and everything was fine. Went to work, logged in during diner and come back to this.... I guess it was nice while it lasted... yet another thread that will probably get locked...

You are right. I apologize for my part in this. I should know better.
Let’s see if we can get it back on track.

Could the giant ice planety thing be the core of the Endor Gas Giant?!

I know they named the water planet where the Death Star wreckage is as the ocean moon of Kef Bir, I think, but I'm not sure if the ice planet is the same? Maybe it's the core of that? I've heard talk that it's like a dead planet with some dark side weirdness like Malachor, which is why they can be riding out on a ship without masks like they are in the trailer?

...Huh, Kef Bir is also the homeworld of Jannah.

So maybe, I've missed something along the way (have been trying to limit what I read regarding potential spoilers for Ep9), but has it been officially confirmed that we are indeed seeing the ruins of the second Death Star?

If no such confirmation has been made, then maybe what we're seeing are the ruins of the first Death Star, and the forest planet scenes are all on Yavin IV rather than Endor.

To my knowledge, it's all assumptions at this point. Canonically, the first Death Star did have a throne room, though it was never used. Still, I expect it will end up being the second.

So you go off to play The Outer World for a few hours, and then come back to almost three whole new pages of this... What happened?

Anyway, Endor is a gas giant that has nine moons, one of which is covered in forests and also called Endor. Kef Bir presumably is another one of Endor's moons.

I believe it's been confirmed that it's the second Death Star? Or, at least, a soft confirmation? I think it was originally a plot point for TFA - or a consideration to have Rey explore the ruins underwater - but they then recycled it for RoS. I think it's the most likely that it's the second Death Star, since it would make sense for Palpatine to be hiding where the ruins are, or something to that effect.

The throne room in the trailer pretty much looks like the one on Death Star 2.

Then again I never saw the throne room on the first...

The ruins of the first Death Star wouldn't make as much sense, as a location anchor for Palpatine, since he died on DS 2. Now sure it could all be smoke and mirrors, trailers are notorious for that. But assuming what is being hinted at is correct, and Palps is returning, and we see a Death Star husk, it would make more sense, logically and narratively, for it to be DS 2.

It probably looked fancier. I vaguely recall reading that the "throne room" in the 2nd Death Star was in the unfinished sections, and what we saw was a hastily improvised unused room with a big chair in it.
