With the core set releasing on Nov. 1, can anyone confirm whether the large playmat will release the same date?

Not seen/heard any confirmation either way - but I don't think I've ever seen FFG mats release at the same time as the associated core/boxed product.

I really wish FFG would say something about the playmats. What could possibly be preventing them from at least addressing the issue?

Arkham horror LCG had playmats release at the same time. As did Game of Thrones LCG 2nd edition.

So they have gotten it nailed down well in the past.

Anybody hear anything lately on those mats?

Haven't, but we've got a stream coming up. I'll try to ask that one as well, since I should be able to watch it live.

I heard one of mid feb

My pre-order 1-4 player mat is prepping for shipment from FFG as of 1/31. Based on previous pre-orders items usually ship w/in a few days of that notice and I receive them the week of general release. Early-mid Feb lines up w/ that.

So I pre-ordered mine back in November from the FF store. The order is still "pending."
Since then, I guess they've transition over to the Asmodee store, and my order doesn't show there at all, tho I seem to have an account that maybe got automigrated? It's squinty that my "pending" order shows only in the obsolete store system.
Maybe I'm just over-nervous, idunno. Maybe they've started fulfilling, working thru the preorders, and the notif is zinging toward me right now thru the internet.

FYI, some people are still waiting for their Game of Thrones: The Board game playmats they ordered in fall of 2018. It will be awhile. I have no clue why FFG continues to do these playmats, they just can't seem to manage it.

Idk, if you go over on their forum, there are EU people still waiting.

The weird thing is that if you go to the Upcoming page, the Cosmic Encounter Duel and Fallout Shelter mats are listed, but none of the Marvel ones are. And they steadfastly refuse to address the issue while continuing to allow people to preorder mats for characters that have yet to even release. I'm waiting on the big mat, Cap, She-Hulk, and Iron Man. This is ridiculous. Oh, I'm also waiting for the Outer Rim playmat.

On the left of your account page there's a link for "View Previous Account Details". Check that - any FFG orders from the migration are certainly there, though it seems as if new orders from FFG may as well (that's where my preorder for Blood of Balshawhozits shows up).

Yep, that the only way I could find the order at all.
But now I've got a "preparing for shipment" notice so yay! ***

Feb 14th looks more and more like the release date.

My credit card was charged the full amount this morning for my pre-order mat so shipping this week or next.

My multiplayer mat, and Iron Man mat, are arriving today!

Multi player arrived this morning. As a bonus the retail packaging snaps together kinda like the expansion packaging so it can be used as storage.

Mine now says delivery by tomorrow...sigh. dang snow
