You mean like in every other star wars movie? The movies where they bring medical frigates on deadly attack runs? The movies where they park ISDs in the firing range of a rebel ion cannon?
Man that fleet scene gives a lot of credit to the spoilers. Either way I am just happy that we will get epic space battle. Also should be intersting once we get some better pictures so we can make out the ships. Armada forum should be happy for once......... poor Armada fans.

Am I totally disenfranchised, or did that trailer seem more hokey than episode 8? I thought the teaser was encouraging, but I'm back to my pessimism after that trailer.

I’ve had the exact opposite opinion. Early teasers were meh. This movie may actually be good.
Hopefully they solve Mary Sue Rey and create a compelling villain.
I see the Ghost!!! Hera and her son flying? Hope so.
