Hi folks, can you play this game with 3d miniatures and Mansions tiles, or not feasible? I haven't played the LCG yet because the main problem I have with this game is that it's a card game. I definitely prefer my minis and maps, etc. Can you do both here? Thanks

The miniatures are ideal for the investigators. Anything else is not really needed. You can certainly use the monster minis, some people do. I think you might enjoy it though, its sort of like mansions in that its very story driven and you lay out a map for each scenario, there are location cards which connect to each other.
Edited by VillefereSustain my idea of lego minifigures-see my thread. Thank you!
The investigator figures definitely.
The monster figures maybe. they leave and enter play alot so it might be more overhead than it's worth. Personally I have little card standees that I fit my monsters in if they are not engaged with a player which helps them stand out.
The tiles probably not. Only some scenarios happen indoors and even then it will be quite a task to match tiles up to the location connections required. I could see taking one scenario like The Gathering and cherry picking some tiles to organize a very nice looking game of Arkham Horror for a meet up, but doing that on the reg feels too hard. Also impossible for a scenario that's more abstract like The Search For Kadath, Carnevale Of Horrors, Midnight Masks or Lost In Time And Space. Those are all going to struggle to fit into neat MoM tiles.
I'm guessing you already play MoM 2nd and are just looking for more Arkham Files content because the experience you want to have describes MoM 2nd exactly.
Edited by phillosI use the minis exclusively. Really happy that Ursula, Leo, & Norman came out in Serpent's Path (the most recent expansion, which soft-launched at Arkham Nights). I also use them in both 2nd & 3rd editions of Arkham Horror.
There are only 15 of the 55 investigators not yet released in Mansions between the 2 editions. They did say that they're phasing out the 1st edition models because some of the molds broke. Who knows, maybe we'll get updated sculpts after we see the next 4 (4 investigators/expansion) expansions!
