Hera/Lando List

After Da-Rocks post on the Ghost I got to brain working and saw a Hera/Han list and thought about instead using Lando instead of Han to initiative match and came up with this:

Turns out to be really good, flew against a Khiraxz swarm and won losing only my shields and few dings to the hull on each. Didn't use Intimidation as much as I thought I would but I still like it, in case I get blocked and Lando can still give an action to Hera AND punish whatever blocks her. Didn't use Baze either, but I still like the idea since blues are easy to come by with Nien. Actually had a lot of times where Lando would land in front of a Khiraxz, toss an action to Hera, then do a red boost out of arc. Not sure how I'd tweak it either. Hot dice made FCS kind of limited, but I still like it being there. But other than that, everything worked like it should.

I may have been the guy posting the Han/Hera list you saw, just took it to a HST this past weekend and made top 4. I like the above list, but Zeb was almost essential for me and I'd highly recommend finding room for him. Really makes Hera a nightmare to deal with, especially if she moves after you although not exclusively.

I had a blast with this list and it is certainly potent, the key has been having people attack the YT first, knocking the shields off maybe and then having to switch to a full hp Hera. It's especially fun to fly against Seps as this list eats a Vulture a round and Sun Fac just runs until he dies, Ensnare being essentially useless.

I was just thinking of trying out a YT1300/VCX list too. What do you think of advanced sensors? I found it really useful to guarantee you get your action before bumping or K-turning.

I had a choice between AS or Saw + Zeb, went for the latter and it was definitely the right choice. If you have the points for both then Hera gets really mean, but I would have had to drop R2-D2 from Han to fit it and wasn't prepared to do it. Worth testing though I'd say as while R2 is really good, he often does nothing (won me 1 game out of 6 and added no value in the other 5).

Advanced Sensors is nice, but I think if flying with Lando it's a tad redundant and that FCS can be money. Zeb is certainly an option too, my only concern would be giving up Chewie or R2 D2. I like the combo of Saw and Zeb too (In fact I use that combo with Wulfie on the Auzituck), I'm just thinking it'd hurt the ship if lots of guns bare down on it. Unless maybe reinforce and having Lando hand Hera a TL to mitigate some incoming fire and punch back. In that case could imagine always shooting with Lando first to pull shields down and open the hull up for the Saw generated crits to go through.

Hits like a truck at high initiative and has a great late game, surprised people all tournament with it (except my buddy that knows exactly how potent it is and helped me put it together.)

My opponents would often dismiss Hera as though she would just evaporate due to Saw, but it kills things so quickly and often before they shoot. I honestly felt that Saw saved me more hp than he cost, just by eliminating return shots from ever coming in. Especially if you’re going Lando so Hera can have both TL and reinforce.

With 2 ships only, you want a LOT of punch. A single extra shot from a turret does that less, imo, than a harder shot from Hera.

Hera is BRUTAL with Intimidation, Zeb, Saw, and AdSen. TL, move with Hera reliably into a bump, profit. Meanwhile, Lando with Nien, Magva, and the title can efficiently TL and Focus every round, and once he starts taking shots, gets a free lock from Magva and can start evading
