Preventive policy and XO turn?

By badtaste, in Battlestar Galactica

Hi everybody, just wanted to ask you all a question about meaning of "turn"in cards mention above. Is it a absolute turn (in a way its starting with the player who played first at the beginning of the game) or is it relative one (meaning u calculate the turn starting from the player who used card) ? Its nor really clear in rulebook or on the cards themselves,

regards

The person whose turn it is can be identified by the 'current player' token. When you executive order another player, they do not get another 'turn'; they only get a move and an action that they can spend during the turn of the player who XOed them. This has some interesting consequences, if Helo executive orders a player, Helo might reroll something. If another player uses executive order on Roslin, she may not look at the top two crises and pick one when they crisis step arrives.

Preventative policy lasts only as long as the current turn, that is, the person who played the executive order.

Im not sure im totally following you on this one. If its Helo's turn and he XO's someone, he might reroll something how? during the drawing and resolving crisis cards? I understand if someone XO's Roslin that she's not looking at Destiny Deck, because technically its not her turn. So basically u can XO one (and it can be all th same) person as long as its once in a player's turn, right?

Helo's ability says that he can reroll a die once on his turn. If Helo played an XO on another character, who hit the FTL, Helo can still reroll the die, because the roll takes place during his turn. Another option would be a Crisis card that gives an option to roll - if the Crisis came up on Helo's turn, he can use his power to reroll.

Regarding the XO - you are correct, it can only be used once per turn.

As azuredarkness has said, Helo can reroll any die that gets rolled during his turn. If Helo plays executive order on another player, it is still Helo's turn even if another player is making a move and an action from the executive order. Whose turn it is does not change because an executive order was played.

And, yes, only one executive order may be played per turn. :)
