It's so obvious Wedge is going to "cavalry in" some Starhawks...but only after all looks lost, and hoepless!

Deus Wedge Machina. JJ likes his fanfare.

Hmmm. Wedge and Norra founded the Flight Academy on Hosnian Prime, so its entirely possible that, if they were still teaching there, they were Obliterated.

Now, that being said... The Starhawk Cavalry idea isn't far fetched, given the Novelisation of the Last Jedi. Its just Inferno Squadron ,rather than Wedge, that was on that Job.

Apparently Denis Lawson has filmed scenes for 9, so.... I'm pretty excited.

That is something to be excited about.

And I mean, Kill Two Death Stars, Dodge a System killing Hyperspace blast... Guy's charmed.

Battlefront II DLC Gameplay? I don't remeber that coming up in the novelization of TLJ (though it has been a minute).

During Evac, Leia wishing Inferno Squadron had returned from their mission with that fleet of Starhawks.

For the Onager. The Empire, being on the side of Order, are far more capable of meeting a deadline than the rebels

Unless you're Krennic working on the deathstar

Or Piett needing to redouble efforts.

Although to be fair, working for the Empire probably goes something like this:

Grand Moff: Director, you're deadline for this project is in one month,

Director: No problem boss!

Grand Moff: Director, you're new deadline for this project is now in two weeks!

Director: Uhh, I'm not so sure we....

Grand Moff's Assassin Droid: ::EXCITEDLY:: Whirs and Beeps

Director: Well, better call the wife & kids, daddy's not making it home for the next two weeks.

Ummm, ACKCHEWALLY, it was Jerjerrod who had to redouble his efforts, not Piett.

Now to sit back and bask in the adoration of hundreds for pointing out slight inaccuracies.

I'm hoping that's true - I know he mentioned back when 7 was filming that they asked for him, and he wasn't interested at that time as the offered role wasn't worth the time. He's one of the wife's favorite characters, presumably because of his British acting gigs.

(And he's aged well, if you've seen the series 'New Tricks'...one of those British murder mystery series that are more puzzle and character story than 'true crime' grit...he is one of the leads for the last 3 seasons or so, IIRC)

Huh. I watched all of New Tricks without realising the Scotsman was Wedge Antilles. Fascinating!

(He was also Captain "Dreadnought" Foster in the Hornblower series! Great stuff!)

Can't help but I always sing the thread title to the tune of an all-time favourite Canadian childhood commercial from HIMYM: let's go to the mall...

Now together: starhawk on the boat.

When is this supposed to release? Q1 of 2020?

Conviently about a week before the 20th of Dec.

Get that Christmas money and Ep. IX hype combined.

That is no doubt the plan.

That being said, that was the plan with Wave 7, and it was missed...

The Starhawk is as well in the new Age of Rebellion Sourcebook.

For these, who want to make speculations about the values of the ship šŸ˜‰

Cool! How does it compare with an ISD in this game?

I have no idea šŸ˜„.

I don't have any of the sourcebooks and don't know the values of an ISD for compare.

But when you see the shield values, it seems to have more shield on the sides as it has on the front.
Would be really interessting if a ship with such a front attack has weaker shields on the front as it has on the sides.

They also have an excerpt about the Millennium Falcon:

I thought that comparing the Millennium Falcons speed value with its top speed listet on Wookieepedia would allow us to make a guess what theses speed values represent so that we could make a guess what the Starhawks speed 2 would translate to into armada. Unfortunately the sourcebook immediately contradicts Wookieepedia. In the sourcebook Hans falcon is faster than Landos but according to Wookipeedia it seems to be the other way round.

There are stats for other ships on an FFG RPG wiki (disclaimer: no idea what most of these numbers mean in context, or if this is for the same game, but it has all the same stats).

The Starhawk is priced between a Victory and the MC80s, less than half the price of an ISD (possibly a new price system?). It is as big as the Home One (bigger than the ISD), same speed as all the big ships, as manoeuvrable as the ISD (less than the MC80s).

Looks like it can take more damage than any of the other large ship. On shields, it has front/side/rear of 3/4/2, compared with 3/4/3 for the Liberty, 4/4/4 for the Home One and 3/3/2 for the ISD. It has the same Armor as the ISD and Home One, more than the Liberty. And the same squadron capacity as the ISD, less than the Home One, more than the Liberty.

Not sure how useful that is for Armada comparisons, though.

These two feature prominently in Resistance Reborn. Wedge and Norra had retired and settled down as farmers on the planet Akiva at the time of the Hosnian Cataclysm.

Figured they would. Good to be confirmed.

Still, I’m surprised I’m the first to go:
