Yes. The Discipline check is considered a ranged combat check, and with any and all combat checks you add the successes to the damage. Same is true with hurling objects via Move as well.

Also it bei g a ranged attack all modifiers apply. Like sense, ranged defense, cover, reflact, improved reflext.
