Ghost-Fire

I have been bouncing a lot of lists around in my head, but I come back to variation of this one:

Lothal Rebel Ghost

Collision Detector - With 4 ships on the board for my side alone I know I will have issues

Dorsal Turret - The Bonus shot adds a lot to a list that is dependent on putting damage on stuff

Jyn Erso - Normally I run her with Perceptive Co-pilot for the double Evade, but she interacts with Lando well enough at a lower cost

Lando - A much cheaper Perceptive co-pilot

Veteran Turret Gunner - More damage is much gooder!

Ghost Title - why not?

Gold Squadron Y-Wing

Selfless - has helped more than I expected

Dorsal Turret - almost a requirement for the slow Y-Wing

Gold Squadron Y-Wing

Selfless - same as above

Dorsal Turret - same as above

AP-5 Pantom II

0-0-0 - The Coordinate on the Ghost has been pure gold and when I ran into 4-Lom's stress factory I was still able to help out the Y-Wings not to mention 2 shots front or back is helpful

I often get 2 Evades and a Reinforce on Ghost and can still put out 6 shots on stuff. Between the Y-Wings and Pahntom II I can add enough to take a target down and then move on to the next.

So I have gone back and forth with this, a double Y-Wing plus Hera Ghost and perceptive co-pilot etc, a double B-Wing and shuttle list, a Hwk-290 build that can either add another Evade to Ghost or drop an Ace to zero and a few other less successful like a double A-Wing list.

Anyone have success with a defensive build like this that still puts out a lot of offense?

With the change to Evade in 2.0, are you really wanting double evades on the Ghost? Also, I thought you were putting "0-0-0" on AP-5 there ;)

Yes, 0-0-0 on AP-5, (wait....new to these forums, doesn't this mean barebones?). I just use it's Coordinate Action and occasionally it fires.

0-0-0 Is a crew member for Scum and some Imperial Squads, I think that was the confusion.

I'm also not sure what you are going to do with all the evades on the Ghost. In 2.0 evade can modify an existing dice result, not add an evade result, and the Ghost is rolling zero defense dice most of the time.

My main concerns would be getting the Y-wings to stay with the Ghost since they need to be range 0-1 and in the attack arc for Selfless to trigger. A reinforced Ghost with selfless wingmates is going to be a slog to take down, but with everything being initiative 3 or lower, and everything but the Ghost only bringing two dice guns, I would just try to stay out of the front of the Ghost, eat some of the 2 dice shots and either burn down the ghost or kill the very fragile shuttle. I like the tankiness but not sure the firepower is there.

Wow! I have been playing a few months now and not one person has corrected that or played Evades like that. Well....there goes that plan! Hahaha.....I feel dumb, but hey, at least I found out now! 🙂

I dropped the Collision Detector for VTG and Phantom. As noted evade tokens are no good on the Ghost your guys didn't get entirely up to speed with the 2nd Edition rules.

I think this would be a lot more fun.

A lot of Hull and Fire power with the added Phantom II for Coordinate

Just ran Han/Hera at a HST here this past weekend and had my best showing at a regional level, making the top 4. So Ghost definitely viable and the Crack, Zeb, Saw version I ran was an absolute blast to fly.

Been playing with two lists myself.

List 1:

  1. VCX-100 "Chopper" - Dorsal Turret, Veteran Turret Gunner, Leia Organa, Kanan Jarrus, Tactical Scrambler
  2. A/SF-01 B-Wing Braylen Stramm - Jamming Beam
  3. A/SF-01 B-Wing Ten Numb - Jamming Beam

List 2:

  1. VCX-100 Hera Syndula - Dorsal Turret, Veteran Turret Gunner, "Zeb" Orrelios, Shield Upgrade, "Ghost" Title
  2. Sheathipede-Class Shuttle AP-5 - "Phantom" Title
  3. RZ-1 A-Wing Jake Farrell - Crack Shot
  4. RZ-1 A-Wing Arvel Crynyd - Intimidation, Crack Shot

First one is meant to play around removing and preventing Stress for the B-Wings and double tapping with the Ghost while providing some blocks for the sweet Jam tokens. The second one is all about blocking and blowing ships up. AP-5 is meant to stick to the back, coordinating while Jake does Jake things and Arvel just go BAZINGA range 0 pew pew.
