With the new factions (GAR & CIS) coming out I've decided to get into Legion and put together a Clone force, splitting 2 core sets and getting 2 Phase I trooper box sets. I've watched an unboxing video, seeing that the Clones are in baggies with all the parts needed for that figure. My question is are the weapons and arms interchangeable with other bodies? For example can you put the long barreled DC-15 on the trooper that's kneeling?
Edited by T70 DriverA question for those who've assembled Clones.
It's not plug and play like the intended poses but you can cut the nubs that go inside the torsos and attach them with glue and some green stuff. Some will be more difficult than others and require you to bend the arms by soaking them in hot water. Think I saw a picture of a kneeling DC15 trooper so that should work.
Edited by nuke556From what I have seen in videos, all of the arms and heads allow for a small amount of posing flexibility. You should be able to attach any set of arms to any body/legs.
Thanks. Looking forward to start playing Legion. Time to watch some videos on painting Stormtroopers. Clones are pretty close so those videos should work for them as well.

I can help you there: Apothecary White over the whole thing, use a detail brush to add a bit of black, done...
Clones are actually pretty easy to swap around; some parts will need to go with certain bodies, such as the kneeling leg to the kneeling trooper, but the heads and arms are actually on round pegs, so they can be adjusted pretty easily. I only slightly played with the poseability of my GenCon clones, and even using the correct arms to bodies, you can have variation, ie, where they're looking, or if they're moving or running and shooting.
The main pro tip I’d give is to ask the CIS player for one grevious arm. He has 6 sabers in the core set. Replace Obis soft plastic saber for a hard plastic saber. It looks much better.

Yeah the one video I've watched so far they used the Apothecary White contrast paint. I'll definitely be using it.

What Alpha17 says here. You'll have to play around with the pieces to see which are interchangeable. I'll try tomorrow night and see what I come up with when assembling the 2nd core set. I've only assembled 1 core set so far.
BTW, BIG KUDOS to FFG for packaging the Clone Wars core set. Keeping the clones in baggies and klankers in sprues was an awesome choice. So easy to exchange when you split core sets.
Also, another BIG KUDOS to FFG for how they packaged their units. Like core units coming with all the models you ever need even with upgrades. BRAVO, FFG! I'm a 40K Veteran and loathe Games Workshop's eye gouging tactics. I'm really hoping FFG sales puts them to shame and GW has to make drastic changes to keep up... <censored> you, Games Workshop!
Worked on my 2nd Clone Trooper core set and tried mix-n-match with arms. They look good... BUT... the arms don't fully flush in the sockets. This won't be a problem with glue as long as you press and hold until the glue sets. You can see this from the two photos i took. Pay close attention to the shoulders.

So it looks like they're not 100% flush, but overall they seem just fine. I think this bodes well for those that want to switch things up, myself included. Thanks for the pictures!

You're welcome. Here's another photo of all my 5x Phase 1 Replicant Troopers units. I tried to vary it. But some pretty much had the same look because of how the two arms are supposed to "hold" their weapons.

Have fun!
Man, reading everyone's comments has me excited for this!
Again, THANK YOU FFG! Assembling my Replicant Troopers was the easiest I've ever done for miniature armies. Best of all FFG put into consideration the various ways of equipping your army. Games Workshop never did that to 40k.
I've only had to use 6x micro magnets for my entire army. Those were used on my BARC speeders sidecar weapon configuration (3 magnets per speeder). View this video shows what i did:

Eventually, i will magnetize my General Grievous so i can change his configuration to any form.
