With the launch of the new Clone Wars core set are there any plans to discontinue the old one? Or are they going to run them both?

I don't see them getting rid of it. Its only way to get non-operative Luke and Vader currently.

I highly doubt it. It's really the easiest way to get started with either of the GCW factions. It may become a little harder to find for a bit, but I always think there will be people who will be picking up legion and are interested in that era. And as long as those people exist, I imagine the GCW core will as well.

No - they're going to be support 4 factions instead of 2. So they'll keep the original core set around for people who want to buy the original armies

They're still expanding the GCW units after the CW release, so the core is definitely sticking around.

If I recall correctly, X-wing 1st edition had both a GCW starter and a "Force Awakens" starter set for sale at the same time.
