Sith infiltrator: ¿medium base?

By nogarder, in X-Wing

Good, I wanted to comment on the Sith infiltrator. I see that you hardly play competitively, and I think that one of the elements that causes it is that it does not use a medium base.

Other ships such as IG, Slave, etc. Yes, should I have a medium base?

The Sith Infiltrator actually DOES see a LOT of competitive play, as Darth Maul is a very good buy for the price.

It's fine as a large base, honestly. The thing is, the bigger the base, the more cloak allows it to move. So it's pretty **** wild.

Infiltrator sees play with two pilots.

Thats a whole extra pilot more than most ships in the game!

Ugh.

I hate that you're right, so, so much.

In Europe, I don't remember seeing it in a top8 at any time. The other day was the Grand Championship France, and it didn't appear either.

It won the Australian System open 5 weeks ago: https://listfortress.com/tournaments/1038 .

Yes, I know this is not Europe, just trying to be helpful.

Got caught in List Fortress after posting this and apparently this same list made the cut in France. (It seems the cut was at 13?)

I agree with you, but a particular faction is the exception to that rule. Probably because it is a faction filled with so many good pieces that function as tools to the specific list. Which also leads to great pilots (Thannison, Rivas, Blackout, etc.) going under the radar.

TIE/FO hotness: Scorch, Longshot, Epsilon.

TIE/SF hotness: everyone.

TIE/VN hotness: Kylo, FO Test Pilot

Upsilon hotness: Tavson, Starkiller

Australia is cowboy England with a small dose of Scotland and you can't convince this ignorant American otherwise.

It’s also the faction that still only has 4 ships :P

As for the Infiltrator, I guess I could check, but I don’t think it would look right on a medium base with the model the size it is, and I find the model to be an appropriate size. Plus, it’s “clunkiness” (not that it doesn’t have an incredible dial for a large base) seems fitting for how old it is compared to half of the game.

Well mate, maybe you should look more carefully? Actually in France this weekend 2 Shith Infiltrators were in Top Cut - Count Dooku and 0-66.

Large base Infiltrators are perfectly fine. Truth is they were too powerful recently and they even needed to be nerfed during last point adjustment (ie Hate pricing on Large base directly pointed at Maul/Dooku).
