Hypothetical - I am firing at the front arc of a ship. It has 0 shields on its front but 2 shields on its port side. Can it use a redirect token to move 2 of the damage to the port shields?

I've seen many people confused with this case. I think that it is because some tend to see the redirect as "I'm redirecting the damage to the side", but its better to think it as what you're doing is redirecting the shields from the side to absorb the attack at the front.
