Rules question about Wraiths and enemies attached to locations (TCU spoiler)

During the scenario, I defeated this Wraith and it ended up attached to the location instead of being discarded. Later I got hit by the symbol chaos token with the effect that says "you take 1 damage if there is a Spectral at your location".

I understand that I won't be taking any AoO from it but in the end I wasnt sure if I was supposed to take 1 damage from the chaos token or not.

I don't think so. After you attach it it loses all of its text and just becomes an additional haunted effect.

Does this mean that Obscuring Fog will also lose it's Hazard trait after it is attached to a location? I believe that theoretically an effect that states "deal 1 damage to investigators at your location if there is a Hazard" should take place.

No I dont think Wraith loses its text because it attaches but because its no longer an enemy.

You're missing an important word - "enemy".

The scenario card penalises you if you have a "Spectral enemy" at your location. If the Wraith is attached to the location, it isn't an enemy, so it won't trigger the penalty.

Ah, this makes a lot of sense. Thanks.

I don't find that to be a particularly convincing line of reasoning. If it isn't an enemy, what is it? It's not a treachery or location. "Attachment" isn't a card type. No part of the card's rules text indicates that it ceases to be an enemy. Obscuring Fog remains a treachery card once attached to a location, Skeleton Key remains an asset when attached, Reliable remains an event, etc.

I can definitely accept the possibility that it's not an intended interaction but absent an FAQ entry to the contrary, the most logical conclusion is that a Wraith attached to a location means that a Spectral enemy is at the location.
