Thrawn Ascendancy Book 1 Dramatis Personae

Edited by Imperial Advisor Arem Heshvaun

Also the 2nd Alphabet Squadron book is in 2020.

Been loving almost all of the new books.

Disappointed it is a prequel. I want to see Chiss Commander Thrawn and Skywalker Bridger's Unknown Region Adventures.

As long as an Adventure, it turns out excellent... Rather than a bogus journey.

That being said, I’m perfectly willing to wait through a prequel trilogy if it means we GET the above 😁 😁

He might be in The Rise of Skywalker...

I personally feel it’s going to pull a lot of Rogue One and Solo esque fan service being the last film and all.

I agree but I think that is a good sign. Disney is aware how popular Thrawn is. They also know that people loved Rebels.

Disney knows that people want to know how the story of Thrawn and Ezra continue and the easy way would be letting Zahn continue the story in more novels. The fact that that is not what is happening makes me guess that Disney is at least considering turning this continuation into something more high profile than just a Novel.

The dream is of course a movie or live action TV show with Zahn as at least co-writer. Here is to hoping!

I'm not a fan of Disney canon in general, but Thrawn as presented in Rebels was a bit of a disappointment for me. He felt like Diet Thrawn more than anything.

The last 2 episodes of season 2 put me off of the show, especially coming off of Clone Wars, even tho it had it's own issues.

I’m old enough to see what you did there... well played.

Yeah, Show!Thrawn was a disappointment. Book!Thrawn was much better, and the two almost feel like different characters, instead of the same person.

Really like that cover art

Delayed release date.

But check out the BLUE edges!

Sounds like the delay is not caused by the book but to make it line up with some other piece of media. Maybe the rumored Rebels sequel show. Maybe this delay is a hint towards the Rebels sequel releasing in October.

Dreadnought Heavy Cruiser time!

Is it correct to assume this series will overwrite the outbound flight book?

He looks like hes about to start doing card tricks. "The nine.... of staves!"

(Audience applauds)

I'm more disturbed that there's 9 Ruling Houses, yet 10 Symbols.

One symbol to rule them all

The symbol on Thrawn's arm matches one on the background. Perhaps this is the symbol of the military, or the nation? And the others represent the houses, or something else.

Unfortunately the outbound flight book is already regulated to legends. So it is not canon anyway. However, I assume this book will take place before the start of the clone wars. Maybe even before the prequels.
