So...I'm finding ECM to be especially brutal when firing with the SSD, given the large dice pool. What are some interesting ways to get around ECM with the SSD?

The best I've come up with is using Heavy Turbolaser Turrets. It doesn't stop Brace from being used but it prevents everything else. There's got to be a better way, help fix my ECM problem!

You could try an Intel Officer to make them discard tokens,

Can I suggest boarding Troopers....spend all those defence tokens

Xi7s and intel officer.

I've also found that removing chance from attack pools makes them particularly brutal out of the SSD. I run my SSD as ravager, use leading shots and SW-7s for Ion slots, X-i7s and QBTs for the turbolasers... on the Executor model, that's a baseline of 7 damage no matter what you roll out the front (sw7s).

Things tend to pop pretty easy.


The dreadnought is a little tougher. Though it does do a lot, often it seems like it's not enough. Especially with ECMs and brace.

Anything with a Crit effect can be helpful.

I already use Xi7s, SW-7s and QBTs but I see intel officer is the way to go. They'll get one brace and that's that.

These are higher point games and I am using Executor-II lol. Pickles and Liberties hanging around for 3 turns due to that ECM has consistently dropped me.

I like Vader/Boarding teams but I agree, the slots they use are too valuable. That and picking a squadron command is generally not something an SSD would do

I’m talking against the SSD. It’s stapled to my Kuats now, just to kill IO or DCO.

Wow... that's impressive... With 7-8 base damage Plus whatever I roll for my reds and Xi7s I usually chew through rebel stuff with ease....

IO with Palpatine to put more pressure. Either commander or officer will add some pressure to enemy defense tokens
