Well, my questions, including @JJ48 's restating of the rules focused one, didn't get answered... While I sort of understand them not addressing the Coaxium Hyperfuel question (yay, multiple copies of a currently pointless upgrade for anything but the Fireball for a Faction's signature slot incoming 😠), I'm now left hoping they address my first one in the Official Rulings thread. Though historically the arguments that crop up around the validity of things they post there don't bode well for anything they state there actually making into the non-casual side of the game...

I can understand them not answering my question; I just hope they actually saw it and think about it.

I really hope they address it in the next few days. As written that FAQ ruling broke an entire class of upgrade...
No word on specifically how they evaluate the points adjustments doesn't really help my peace of mind. But at least it's a good game as-is. Just expecting to be sad for generic interceptors, the 2400, and Scyks for the foreseeable future

They consider the original Ship Ability to be Adaptive Ailerons and it came about as a way to make the TIE Striker different from the TIE Interceptor. Since the Empire has a lot of TIE variants that are pretty similar, ship abilities help distinguish between the different TIEs and somewhat define the faction.
Thanks Joe. I was wondering how they got on that cuz I got distracted and wasn't really paying attention there.

Not really, just one week left. Releases are on Fridays now and only tomorrow and next week's Friday is left. Week after that is Worlds Friday but people will already be flying out there Tuesday and Wednesday.

Alphas are not that bad at all. They certainly don’t belong in that list.
So I haven't had a chance to watch it myself yet, but from the comments in this thread and lack of any other thread with clarifications it appears that they avoided answering basically any rules questions? If so how very disappointing.
I get that they are going to publish a mini FAQ on the forums but inevitably they won't answer the questions succinctly enough and there will still be grey areas of the rules a week or so out from Worlds.

"Sounds cool!" And talked about rpg backgrounds on the design team.
I miss their comment about HOTAC. Any guess at a time stamp?

"No it has not been abandoned"
Yay! Not that hate isn’t powerful or useful, but it has become somewhat stale for me, which is why I asked. Now I have some dark side goodies to look forward to.

They are trying to avoid one of the major problems with competitive 1st edition, where you would have someone who sent an e-mail/asked a question on stream, get an answer, and then play at an event where said TO hadn’t heard of that result. So basically where the FAQ falls silent is where the TO can speak, and if you start announcing rulings outside of official documentation that you can’t immediately update you’re just causing a headache for events further on down the line.
Does anyone have a transcript of the Q&As?
