Wish they'd applied sliding scale to the Occupier to make the bed TWO BLOODY MILLIMETERS wider so you could actually stick all six dudes flush in the bed.

Well, I bet they'd fit if you took them off their bases! 😛

What makes you think you'd get that much customization?

In my case, i think that it is possible simply because a lot of other companies, with WAY smaller budget (atlantic, shiledwolf, para bellum, fireforge, osprey... and not counting GW or Warlord) are offering that kind of products, so, why not? They have the goodwill and have shown predisposition and also got the resources (they are switching to hard plastic so they can give more options and sprues). What makes YOU think It will not be like this?

Model wise, sure, I expect to see some amount of customization, gender maybe (typically that would entail two complete miniature depending on armour design though), arms and head probably.

What I was questioning was the ability to customize the RULES of the miniature, the part where the quoted post references "loadout" and "armour" both of which have in game effects.

I doubt we will get to pick if the Commander has a rifle or pistol, or if they get a red or white defence die(armoured vs unarmoured), that's not really part of the gameplay design of Legion.

I'm not trying to say we won't have choice of heads or a couple different arms, holstered/unholstered blaster for the miniature, just that I doubt we will have the ability to customize rules, it any appearance options that general correlate to rules effects.

Edit: furthermore, I'd say that the new core set which uses the sprues for one entire side is a fairly good indicator for the amount of customization.

That's what they seemed to imply, though I could just be reading to much into it. On speculation for the custom commanders, I think that they'll probably make one to two custom commander packs per faction, Separtist: Organic Commander/Droid, Republic: Jedi/Clone, Rebels: Rebel Commander, Empire: Darksider/Normal Commanders. Now the armor may be a bit iffy, but they'll make different genders and species at the very least, and I belive that they'll include different load-outs so that you can have something that fits your playstyle. Also, on what I said earlier about the force user/organics(sepi's) that may not happen, and I personally wouldn't be mad.

I think they'll have a few different weapons choices is all. Maybe you want your custom commander to have a Z-6, or maybe you'd rather them have an A-280, or maybe your commander is a Jedi, and you went with a lightsaber. Also, when I said armor, I meant that you'd get two to three different armor/combat gear designs/Helmets and such. I wasn't thinking along game terms, I was thinking figure look. You'd probably just add the points up for your commander, and they'd make it so you only have a X many points to work with and how many points you used is how much they cost + Y.

I think something along the lines of the kits were have already seen revealed is the most likely, such as Grievous, Cody, Sabine, and Bossk. A few sets of arms, spare heads, maybe the option to show a single upgrade card on the model. Gender differences in miniatures tend to be exaggerated so they are visible at three feet. Gender options are a huge maybe since they would require both a different torso and head depending on body armour. Weapon "options" are limited to the default weapons and possibly representing an upgrade card.

I highly doubt the "customizable commander" is going to be a litteral free for all in both upgrades and bits. I'm sure there will be SOME more options, but not a complete free for all. That sort of customization introduces a LOT of different combinations all of which require playtesting to ensure they are "balanced."

I want to see what they do when they make the Gcw stuff on frames. I'm hoping for all the available support options like the y just made for rebs and storm troopers as addition frames, that'd be nice

I agree, about the most customization that I can see happening, which I think would be plenty, is a commander with only a native melee attack of a single white dice and then a weapon upgrade and 2 to 3 gear upgrades that would add keywords/armor. That way they can limit the choices as to not make the custom commanders too powerful
