Do we have an actual official release date for the huge ships conversion kit yet? All I have heard is "before worlds". Does anyone have any other info? And yes, I can hardly wait!

As per FFG's normal MO, we don't know.

Nope, no other information. And we may not actually get before worlds: we just assumed it because of the epic side event at worlds. They may just leave a copy of the rules at the tournament table, or they may have presale sales there.
Or we could all have it on time.

Since Epic play 2v2 is one of the side events that we will be able to participate in at Worlds, it would make little sense that you don't even know what miniatures/cards you will bring with you.
That event is about building two 400 point lists from two different factions.
How are players supposed to participate on it without the rules, miniatures and cards for it?
For instance, I will be flying from Europe and I am not going to bring my whole collection over to the States, so if they don't provide that information earlier, I won't be participating in said event, unfortunately, so I would have to stick to playing other side events, most likely just Pods.

I hear you, and I understand entirely. I’m not sure I have the faith in FFG’s distribution system anymore though to accommodate that certainty.
The only reason I can consider the epic event is because I’m driving in so I can take whatever I want relatively easily. It has to suck for everyone coming by air over to participate.
Hopefully we get the epic box and conversion kit very soon and we can all plan accordingly. There’s just that back of my mind fear ffg may say “well epic != huge” and we may get limited to what we have in massive dog fights and a print out of the mission we are assigned.
Here in Germany shops scheduled the release date for October 18.

Well, as I said above, it will be great for those living nearby the event, but for the rest of us, it means we won't be participating.
Basically we cannot build even the list (How are we supposed to know how many points each epic ship/upgrades will cost?)
A pity.

The FLGS I tend to buy things from in the UK is listing the Epic and Huge stuff for release on the 8th of November.... FFG release dates, as fickle as green dice?
