Terrain- Whatta ya want, how much would you pay ?

By RogueLeader1977, in Star Wars: Legion

With the drop pod and Imperial Bunker in development, what would you like to see for Clone Wars terrain and with the bunker being around $75 USD, is that the max in which people would spend, or would people be willing to spend closer to like $120 for say three Naboo buildings with interiors ? Personally for Clone Wars terrain, Id love to see the Clone Forward Command Post as a scenario and just as a piece of terrain. What would y’all like to see ?

I think the bunker is way overpriced. Especially since there are a lot of alternative bunker out there. Most of them in good MDF quality and way cheaper. Same goes for the downed AT-ST. Much to pricey for a single purpose piece of plastic.

To be perfectly honest, I have picked up a lot of it over the years and seen how well different systems can look good. The Dust stuff works great for dust or 40k and yes, can work well here. Terraign for star wars doesnt have to have a star wars logo on it. There is a wealth of different planets across the stars and who is to say it is all the same or that they are all at the same technology level. Even the bunker, I have the dust bunker and all I need is the rules and it will work perfectly.

Of course there are a lot of star wars pieces that can be made and it would be nice to see it. Just pointing out that I am not going to be spending large amounts of money on it if I have something else that looks just as nice. Especially if it leaves more more money for units.

What do I want:

The Gallia Reproductions bridge, hut, and walls from ye olde West End bouke.

What would I pay:

$100 for the set.

Other than that I don't have a wish list, besides saying I'd buy good OT scenery that had universal OCD cards.

Nothing, stick to units . FFG will never catch up on CW stuff if they waste time on terrain.

I wouldn't mind some alternate barricades, crate stacks, landing pad, civilian vehicles, civilian crowds that act as moving terrain (firing through them is possible but has some negative effect like losing a victory point). For those of us that don't have talent building scratch terrain and don't own a 3d printer, the official ffg offerings are very tempting. The level of detail on every terrain piece they have produced so far has far exceeded any of the third party options I have seen and the scenarios are all pretty cool. I will be picking up their terrain as it continues to be released.

For clone wars terrain, I wouldn’t mind seeing some geonosian structures and maybe a campaign about droid factories. Otherwise, there could be some scatter terrain from Felucia with its large plants. Or maybe some Naboo buildings if we get the royal security forces or gungans.

Still want a sarlaac pit though most of all, complete with new condition card for rules about the perils of getting too close.

A reprint of the old 40k Firebase set... Felucia scenery that is cheaper than aquarium plants + driftwood

Really . . . nothing. I'd prefer they focus on units and figures and rules and make sure there's not a need for more errata. Leave terrain to the hobbyists and 3d printer folk

I'm not paying FFG prices for terrain pieces I can either make myself, or buy a quality 3D print/MDF model for half the price. Now, if they want to focus on creating more specialized pieces that are $50 or less, that include good scenarios (or better yet, more cards for competititve play), I'm down with it. I really liked the AT-ST Down because it was a quality model that was uniquely Star Wars and that fit a variety of tables and themes. A crashed Republic Gunship, AT-AP, AT-TE, or Jedi Starfighter would be a cool equivalent for the the CW factions, and other than the Gunship, there aren't a ton of options for these right now otherwise.
