Surely this is a scam?

By CosmicChronos, in Star Wars: Armada

So I was searching around the web for armada deals, and somehow I ended up on this page , even though I clicked on a danish miniatures store's website (defo wasnt this one). The prizes for the miniatures (and the quantity of miniatures!) seems unbelievable. I tried searching for this "company" (super.lokibuzz.com) but didn't find anything except some stuff about Endgame. Surely this is a scam, I mean, I seem to be only able to find tabletop related stuff on it, so I assume it tracks my previous searches and finds relevant things to display on the site. Anyone can confirm this is indeed a scam?
Cheers.

It looks like it. My guess is that you click on the buy button and it either takes your money and doesn't send anything or it spams you with junk email or ads.

I'm not clicking on any of the links.

I haven't bought from them or clicked on it, but any company that tries to imitate another is surely a scam. One time I found a website claiming to be the website of a certain eBay user. The website claimed to sell damage decks. I contacted the eBay user on actual eBay, asked if it was really his website and if he was selling damage decks. He was out of stock of damage decks and never heard of the website.

That's what I though, FFG should probably try and take it down (if they can that is).

Although I did find one of these a while back that was legit. Bought an ISD and Home One for under $50 USD total. They sent me an email purchase confirmation, then dropped of the face of the world. A few weeks later, it came in a Bed Bath and Beyond box. And that's when I learned that BBaB sells Armada!

Edit: left this off originally but I'm not advocating buying from websites that are clearly scams. The only reason I bought from a website I hadn't heard of before is because of a recommendation I got on these forums. Yes I know, we're all "strangers on the internet", but I'd like to thing we're nice, non-malevolent strangers

It must be legit. I mean, look at the reviews. Everything at 5 stars. This must be real 😋

It is like always. If it seems to good to be true, it might be not true.
I would not try it for this price.

edit:
I was looking around on the other products. And all look similar. base price around $50-$80, ~80% off, Price around $12-$14.
And no matter what. Even a single model (normal price $8) was listed with $72 and 80% off on this site. Their price was even higher than the normal price in the shop.
Same with Aramda. Home One: $67, Gladiator: $70Corelian Conflict: $63, ...
All with the same 78-80% off, resulting in $14 - $16.

Yeah I bought a mc80 home one from one of those places and got my ship no problem. Some people did not though and had to fight to resolve the issue. I think the had to go through their card issuer to get the money back.

OP, It's definately risky. If you are willing to risk $15 maybe you will get it but probably not.

Don't risk it, it's a scam. For example this product:

https://super.lokibuzz.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_32_33_50&products_id=13660

Is hand made, and has previously been sold here:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/STAR-WARS-ARMADA-STAR-TREK-BSG-B5-DARK-PLANET-MOON-29-GAME-CENTERPIECE-/264276683098?_ul=BO

Luckily this lokibuzz has 50 of them in stock, so you can still get this hand-made one of a kind item!

It has to be said however; The site looks very good and professional for a bunch of scammers!
