Blitzkrieg, Genocide...this is deck tech you ain't never seen in Blood in the Sun on the W:I homepage
Genocide looks to be an Orc love-fest but things might be slow enough to allow the Order decks to get going. The mulitplayer rules look interesting and I'd certainly be willing to give them a try.
After playtesting, I was a bit surprised how much more balanced things are without neutrals. Most supports give either 1 or 2 power and some ability, and the pace is indeed slowed down considerably. Also, take away striping (or splashing, sprinkling, etc.) other races in and you've got an entirely different envirionment.
Are you looking at signing up for this mega-event, or were you saying that you'd like to try the multiplayer elsewhere? FFG Forum members get a bonus at The Show if they mention it, just so's ya know!

I live in the UK, so I'm not planning to attend the event. I would just like to try a balanced multi-player format as it can create a vastly different environment.
Vortex is interesting too.
Mixing order/chaos could provide new challenges.

My question is why do you have to buy a completely new battlepack for vortex? Since this is an LCG and all the cards are set, why not just choose a battlepack and only use those cards?
Because there are prizes and, as such, an entry fee is reasonable to expect, for one. Secondly, we don't have the time or manpower to check every player's deck to make sure all 40 cards are accurate since the final rounds of the Main Event will still be going on. Not checking requires the opponent to either know every single card in all 6 packs by heart or to check the card number of every card played - a bit awkward, no? And third, the cost is only $7, which gives players a discount on any BP they may still need or want another copy of. Truthfully, the concept has been met with open arms by those that have preregistered.
