The lack of Hondo in 1.0 remains one of the strangest things to me, and that continues into 2nd edition. He's a popular character who had appeared in both Clone Wars and Rebels. He's voiced by Minsc, for crying out loud. Considering how obscure they went with Scum in the later waves, it made no sense that he has never made the cut.

He's even now moved into the animatronic realm thanks to his presence at Galaxy's Edge. What more does a Weequay have to do to get into this game as a pilot, gunner or crew card?

This is true, but I'd love to see him poppibg up in Hyperspace & Extended, rather than just Epic.

Could he be an alternative to Jabba, a Scum swarm enabler?

My bet is on GenCon 2020 - limited release model, custom painted Firespray with the Ohnaka gang symbol on the front, since he owned it...

Hondo commander for a new scum huge ship sounds about perfect.

I would also accept him as a standard crew card. Maybe they’ll both come in the same huge ship box? (Until the next card pack makes him available a year later).

I want to see Hondo as a crew card useable by all factions.

After all, he is the greatest pirate to ever live.

I thought the whole point of Hondo Ohnaka is that no one gets Hondo Ohnaka.

That said, if (when) he does show up, I do think it should be as a unique, generic upgrade that any faction can take. While he may technically be Scum, he's not loyal to them and would work with anyone else at the drop of a hat if it suited his interests.

That being said, he has been in Armada for years. In Armada he grants bonuses to both sides, albeit slightly better to the player who owns him (theoretically). I find it very thematic and would love to see something similar as his role in X-wing.

I will never stop wanting the Fortune and Glory. I think Mel Miniatures proved it can fit into the scale of the game.

Hondo could be a pilot or crew there, and if they ended up doing the Lady Luck instead in a different faction, he could still show up as a crew card at least.

Have to say, I really do love how they handled him in Armada. He's just... so thematic, you couldn't help but laugh when he was revealed.

I have not watched alot of clone wars or rebels. I have seen a few clips and have a small knowing of who this character is. So, I dont know all his details, forgive me.

Going off the post, his pilot card, he should only be allowed non unique crew.

I think he deserves to be a dirty tricks man rather than just leveraging resources, though. He was still someone to reckon with, even nominally down and out; being a competent pilot and duellist himself, just with a keen sense of when....not to be somewhere.

The Corona-class is probably too big for an epic ship - but the Flarestar shuttles could work as scum medium or large ships. That way in theory you could have Hondo as a pilot, too.

We should get Hondo in some sort of scenario pack with the revised crew of The Ghost. Some sort of Siege of Lothal campaign box. Hondo would go back and forth between the players but you're never sure if you want him on your side or not. Same as with the Armada version you're getting something but not quite sure you're coming out ahead.
