Scum Kuldra and token stripping.

By Bort, in X-Wing Squad Lists

With Seevor being so popular I decided to try and put together a list just for token stripping, and some scummyness thrown into the mix.

Workable? Or total junk?

  • Captain Seevor + Snap Shot (37)
  • Palob Godalhi + Latts Razzi (47)
  • Captain Jostero (42)
  • And then the Scum rube goldberg ship. Torani Kuldra + Squad Leader + R5-TK + Cluster Missiles + Munitions Failsafe (64)

10 points left for stuff.

Idea is:

1st turn.. Kuldra takes a target lock on Palob.

Then, following turns the idea is:

  • Palob and Seevor goes forward and does their thing, taking tokens away from opponent.
  • Jostero just gets people in arc.
  • Kuldra red coordinates one of your ships. Probably Jostero to have lock + focus, or roll + focus or whatever.
  • Then Kuldra shoots a cluster missile at Palob. Latts removes the stress from Kuldra. Kuldra's lazor ability fires (either stripping more green tokens or doing damage). Failsafe cancels the shot.
  • Kuldra then shoots at another target, lazors going off again.
  • And on any of the lazor's doing damage, Jostero can chime in and take a bonus shot.

Silly, overcomplicated.... but the combinations work right?

I know, I know... getting the bullseye of Kuldra lined up makes this entire thing near useless. Was basically trying to find a creative way to use R5-TK and Latts crew.

I've tried a similar Torani build.

Fenn Rau: Predator

Torani: Cluster Missiles, R5-TK, Munitions Failsafe

2x Cartel Marauders

I let the Kihraxz lead the way for Torani who would target lock the lead ship turn 1 while Fenn moves to flank. Upon engagement I try to go for a block with the lead Marauder so Torani can "shoot" it with Clusters, cancel the attack, fire off the bullseye ability then spend a charge on Clusters to fire at the ship I hopefully blocked at range 0-1 of the Marauder with a Focus for a dice mod and then Torani's ability fires a second time.

It's a little janky, but not too tough to pull off. Not sure if that combination of ships is durable enough though

In the meantime I altered the list a bit.

Basically swapping Palob for Plut with Pattern Analyser.

Still need to put it on the table and see what it does.

I've flown similar, except with Old Teroch instead of Palob, and swarm tactics instead of squad leader(to let Seevor fire before Torani, as a backup to using Old Teroch to strip tokens). It works against lists with large base ships, and probably swarms.
