With Ensnare for their own offense? Rarely. As a zippy R5 for the squad style support ship with I2 barrel roll or boost for the repairing ship yes. With the green dice reduction requiring full tractoring Gorgol might be handy keeping larger ships alive. There is also that Ensnare doesn't require the recipient to be an enemy ship, so tossing a squad mate into a better defensive or offensive position is a possibility. As is dumping the tractor token taken from his repo on an Infiltrator. Think shop foreman in a rougher manufacturing facility.
Good post. I also agree on the discord missles being under played. They are a lot of fun and work really well with the nantex when you can just tractor your opponents ships onto the buzz droids that they are desperately trying to avoid.
I just wish i could run more than 3 discord missles in a list. I'm sure it would be a bit nuts to have 5 or 6 buzz droids on the field. But hey, they can be shot and they don't have a way of recharging the missles. So they really wouldn't be broken. But they'd defintiely be very strong if i could take more

Since he's only I2, he only pays 6 points for squad leader. In theory you can lob someone a free focus and a "boost" or "barrel roll" and enable ensnare WITHOUT having to rotate your turret (important in an extended knife fight where it may already be pointed the right way)...
Essentially as a support ship alongside a full-spec Sun Fac and Chertek/Kret/Grievous to taste.

I do think there are options for Discord Missiles / Buzz Droids out there with the Tractor Beams. Also makes it harder for Jedi to find places to move out of the way.
I found Berwer is better if you can get a DRK droid out there for the early TL.

It's a bit of a stretch....
.... but Gorgol and 404?
404 gets in, does its thing. If still alive at the end of it, Gorgol repositions and repairs 404.
Alternatively, as a repair-bot/bug for a large ship (Epic, even?).
