Do you think the Knight with a vibro MEAT CLEAVER is compensating for something ? 🤣

They are true to form.

I do wonder why Kylo broke the mask...and why he is wearing it again...

One could say he broke the mask because of Snoke's comment, and it was just in anger. *Shrug*

I personally don't care about this kind of stuff at all, but is there carte blanche to post unmarked spoilers on this board?

It is not specifically forbidden in the forum rules.

Fair enough!

I always felt we were missing a large part of the story regarding the Knights of Ren. I would have liked to know more, see them in action etc.

Tell me FFG is releasing this next month.

It maybe alluding and hint at his broken psyche and torn mental state.

These maybe Disney exclusives.

I'd probably care far more about this guys if we had some of Luke's New Jedi Order to fight them. Such a missed opportunity.

Agree. Rian... err, i mean, Ruin Johnson really screwed the pooch with Episode 8. Episode 7 was fun but unoriginal. My enthusiasm for Episode 9 is lackluster. Its pissing me off.

I suspect it will be "Rey's Jedi Order" instead.......

I loved Last Jedi (not everything about Last Jedi, looking at you Rose) but I thought it was overall much better than the Lazy Force Awakens who used the same plot we have already seen (Episode IV 2.0). Last Jedi gave us some new ideas and cemented that fact that the Jedi over the years were...arrogant and kinda foolish. Luke realizing that and accepting it is such a nice twist then him being this all powerful super "good guy" Jedi that everyone wanted him to be (which in the end it turns out being anyway.)

The Throne room fight scene is also amazingggg. Anyone that truly hated Last Jedi hasn't seen Episode 2 in awhile with the completely unlikable main character and his rapey dialogue that Lucas thought was good for some reason. It ruins the whole movie and really hurt Star Wars at the time. If SW recovered from that, and people can over look it then it will recover from the Last Jedi hate.

I agree. It was a vastly enjoyable installment that broke outside the more annoying of the Star Wars tropes.

Get ready for the all the people who didn't enjoy it.

I dont have a particular hatred or love of TLJ. But I watched a video on the fight scene and it was a fun watch if you don't take it too seriously. Lot's of "missing" weapons and even a guy throwing away his weapon instead of attempting a block.

That throne room fight scene was super sweet and one of my favorites. Luke vs Kylo was especially cool. And, I definitely liked the Battle of Crait, except for that last Rose scene. Those were the highlights. Rest was blah.

What really bugs me are what I call "flavor of the movie".

"Check out Kylo's new starfighter, called Tie Silencer. Cool huh? Check out all these articles, photos, short videos, etc. You like it? Great, cuz its only in the movie for 5 minutes."

"Check out BB-9E. He's like BB-8, but Eeeeviiil. You should like him a lot. Cuz he's in the movie for 2 minutes."

Before the TLJ movie, I was imagining Kylo & BB-9E wrecking Resistance in awesome dogfights. I got giddy thinking that XWing may get a First Order ship with an astromech slot.

Same goes for the Knights of Ren. They couldn've been a team of destruction that chases the Resistance across the galaxy. Only with luck and brilliance could Rey, Finn and Poe managed to evade capture or death.

I hope Rise of Skywalker will prove me wrong and be the BEST Star Wars movie of all time.

Their was some pretty fun moments in TLJ, but it was also a complete mess, the acting by Rose and Finn was lackluster, they sure didn't seem in a rush to save the resistance while on their secret mission. I am still looking forward to Rise of the Skywalker and hope this trilogy has an ending worthy of the franchise

I think this movie lost its way in editing. I don't think it's 'bad movie', it was middling but could have been saved by making a few selective editing choices.

I loved it, and have watched many times now. Again, some choices were confusing - replacing Luke’s daily routine with some further reaction to Han’s death would be preferable.

I still prefer those gaffs to all the superfluous spinning from Obi-Wan and Anakin’s Mustafar battle.

I still would love to see all these miniatures in Legion.

I hate Johnson for TLJ as much as the next guy, but he doesn't deserve the blame for this one; that falls to JJ and Episode VII, when they decided to reboot the galaxy and give us ANH Mk. II. TLJ just doubled down on the mistakes, and left us here.

Since TLJ/New trilogy debates bore and yet still manage to irritate me, that'll be my last contribution to thread. Didn't intend to steer it that way, I just wish they had gone a different direction, and we could have seen that massed Jedi/Sith fight that's been teased for so, so long.

How many years do you think have passed between 8 and 9?
