Good evening!

I have two list that Im looking at. I know that there are a lot of people that seem to not like the Rebels....lol. Let me know what you all think.

Rebel Trooper with Z-6

Rebel Vet with CM093 Trooper and Endurance

Rebel Vet with Recon

AT-RT Laser Cannon

AT-RT Laser Cannon

T-47 Airspeeder with Outer Rim Speeder Jockey, Ground Buzzer and HQ Uplink

Imperial List

Veers, Strict Orders, Commanding Presence

Storm Trooper DLT and Med Droid

Storm Trooper DLT and Med Droid

Storm Trooper DLT

Shore Trooper, Shore trooper and Recon

DF 90 Mortar

74-Z Speeder Long Range Com

74-Z Speeder

AT-ST with Imperial Hammers Pilot, 88 Twin Light Blaster and HQ uplink

Rebels: I would say you don't need 2x AT-RTs with laser cannons alongside a T-47. That's a lot of anti-armour. If you are using the T-47 to infantry strafe then just switch one AT-RT to a rotary cannon. Otherwise I would switch both to rotary cannons.

Imperial: You really want the heavy option on your shore troopers if you are going to use fire-support from the mortar (powerful combo) and to gain the benefit round 1 from the recon. I would consider dropping the one Long range comlink as you have commanding presence or drop commanding presence and add a second com link.

These changes keep the flavor of your list but streamline it a bit.

Usually lists with med droids have an expensive unit (such as Deathtroopers or Palpatine) that they can heal, but with your list you'd basically be using them on the Stormtrooper units themselves or Veers, which really isn't worth it. I'd either add something worth healing or take them out and use the points for something else.

I wouldn't pick a rebel veteran unit over a z6 trooper unit in the list you mention . The reason is that they actually do very similar amounts of damage but the z6 is a good bit cheaper.

So instead of a vet/heavy/endurance is take the Z6 . The veteran is a good way to get a cheap activation (the mk2 in your list) , as for the laser cannon I'd agree that you are better taking the rotaries , the reason is because of the lack of dice if you roll your 3 dice and land 3 hits against your targets, you hit some issues against a trooper unit in heavy cover and a dodge you are hoping to roll a crit before you can land any damage. So that leaves your preference to target Armor. Which your opponent may not even have, if they do it's got an outer rim pilot (airspeeder/landspeeder) do they remove 2 non critical hits before impact can be applied , which on 3 dice isn't great. Of the imperial Armor the more popular is the occupier tank which now get a cover in situations where the troopers do (at least when it comes to barricades) letting it remove 2 wounds before impact.2 as well. The ATST and other ATRTS are your only real targets. with a laser cannon. However shooting rotaries with an aim should net you 2 crits , one comes natural and one via surge, while not leaving you useless against infantry (exaggerated here but only little) so in this case more dice = better.

I want to thank those that have helped here.

Imperial

I pulled the Medics and the com link. Added the heavy weapon on the shoretroopers. Added environmental gear to the storm trooper units. comes to 798

Rebs.

Switched to Rotary and swapped out veterans for basic troops.

If you're going deep on running Shoretroopers, med droids are a must.
