Night Milk

By ChuiSaoul, in Rules Questions

One of my player a shinobi was asking it self, if he can combo a Night Milk poison with a deadly sting on round one of a fight. An then fallow up with a Noxious Poison wakizashi using the Veiled Menace Style on round 2. And was like, yeah that's a really shinobi way to deal with an enemy. But is the guys can just not move for one round will fighting for removing the disorioted condition, were is the point of the Night Milk ? Thank you for you awnsers :)

well, you have to use SOME poison with the sting. The conditions only proc if you crit with the attack, but if they do hit, you've made it more difficult for your opponent to get away or heal or call for help. Also, veiled menace style only works if they are unaware or disoriented. So thats the purpose of the night milk. BUT! it only works with a critical strike. So, they HAVE to get two opportunities on the deadly sting, or the milk wont work and they can't use veiled menace.

You won't be able to use the disoriented from the Night Milk, because if you hit them turn 1 in your turn, they will have their turn 1 (or turn 2, depending on initiative order) to perform a non movement, non support action to recover - which means no Veiled Menace.

It does mean, as noted, you can use deadly sting in the first place - making it a nic knock-off iaijustu technique.

But a nastier approach is to have someone else poison them (shinobi don't care about ganging up!) then you veiled menace them, or else to poison them in a narrative scene then attack them before they get a chance to recover.
