First Republic List... help needed.

Here is my first attempt at a Republic list. Can you look it over and tell me how to improve it?

ARC-170

7th fleet gunner, R3 astromech and synchronized console.

"Ashoka Tano"

Delta-7

Delta-7B, R2-A6 and Foresight.

2x Blue Squadron Protector

Dedicated.

Comes to 200 points on the dot.

okay i found that torrents a very good so just use base pilots for them.

also synchronized console is better with multiple copys so

over all i would use gold squad troopers with synchronized console instead of the blue ones

also if you delta was targeted early use brilliant evasion in the force spot

Sinker is usually first to go, so putting points into him is just giving em to your opponent.

R2a6 works better on higher initiative pilots so you can see the field move and then adjust speed. Ahsoka is only i3.

Assuming these are your only ships, id run em all naked and have the best the ship/pilot in the game:

Gives you an 8pt bid with anakin to give him good chance of moving last.

If you really wanna fly ahsoka, and you have a third torrent, then simply dropping anakin to ahsoka gives you the points.

A third torrent provides more beef. R5 astro works with ahsoka since she can spend a force to perform a regen action, and then perform her normal action and still keep shooting if need be.

Sinker has probably the only upgrade he ever needs, cody. Helps against those pesky agility 3 ships.

Missiles on V-19s are (in my experience) a trap. I tried it, I really did, but it’s just spending extra points that negates the value of a Torrent: a 25 point brick of 5 hull. They work best naked, with no upgrades.

As far as ARCs are concerned, I have only really found success with Sinker leading a mini swarm of Torrents, Wolffe as a pretty brutal jouster, and the humble 104th generic. The others just don’t have bang for their buck to convince me of their worth. In this list, Jag is interesting, but doesn’t have enough wingmen, and his wingmen aren’t dangerous enough to justify attacking over him. He’s carrying A LOT of extra points, so why would anyone not just blow him away? Taking a stress from palp is a small price to pay for taking out the heart of your list.

Maybe Jag could work with torpedoes alongside a slower but dangerous wingman, like Anakin in a Y-Wing (if his price comes down) or Matchstick. Take a focus, opponent shoots the wingman, you take a lock and get double modded torpedos. In this scenario, I think you are spending points you don’t need to spend on upgrading a 104 to a named pilot.

Synchronized consoles is interesting, but you need more of them than 1. You are not only dedicating your list to flying within range 1 of Jag, you can only pass one lock (even with R3). I like the idea of a combo. Take a lock, if you miss, don’t spend the lock, they get a strain and you pass the lock to a torrent. In theory it’s good, and jag’s ability helps offset the issue with lower initiative locks. Still, in practice it runs the risk of being absolutely shredded. I know if I was facing this list, I would aim every single arc directly at Jag. I love ARC’s, but they can’t arc dodge worth a ****.

Ultimately, I’m not sold on 3 ship republic lists unless two of them are Anakin and Obi-Wan. Maybe Matchstick + Wolffe + 1 will have some legs, let’s see. For now though, if you are going for 3-4 ships, here are my suggestions:

Anakin with 7B

Obi-Wan or Ahsoka with 7B

Wolffe or 2 naked gold squadrons

You can use a 104 instead of Wolffe and toss either sense on one of the Jedi or Foresight on Obi-Wan or Ahsoka. On Obi-Wan it gives you insurance against I6 pilots, Ahsoka is lower initiative so more effective against more targets, but I’ve found that her force pool depletes FAST.
