Event Date is Saturday, May 15th, 2010.
Regional Event is an AGoT Constructed Joust event (LCG Format). Anticipated 4 rounds of Swiss pairing, followed by cut to Top 4 Single Elimination. Number of rounds and single elimination cut may be modified depending on the size of the field.
Doors open @ 11am

Registration closes @ 12:45pm
First round starts @ 1pm
Side event: AGoT-Speed Joust (LCG Format) to start @ 6:30pm (during single elimination rounds/finals of Regional Event).
AGoT-Speed Joust is played the same as AGoT with the following rules modifications:
1. Minimum deck size is 20 cards. Plot deck is exactly 4 cards.
2. Only 1 copy of any card by title in the deck.
3. Each game ends after 2 complete rounds (i.e., at the end of the second Taxation phase of the game) - regardless of power totals.
4. The player with the highest percentage of their victory total (percentage can be more than 100%) is the winner of the game.
5. Tournament rounds are best 2 or 3 games.
Venue is approx. 5 miles west of Great America and Gurnee Mills Mall on Illinois Rte. 132.
$8.00 for Regional Event
$3.00 for AGoT Speed Joust Side event (fee waived for participants in the Regional Event)
Coming from Chicago: Take I-94W to IL-Rte 132/Grand Ave. exit (Great America/Gurnee Mills exit). Go west on Grand Ave. about 5 miles to Xtreme Games.

Players are invited and encouraged to submit "bounties." Bounties are small prizes - supplied by a player - for completing a task or objective during the tournament. Such tasks might include the being the first person to kill The Red Viper in a game, the first person to beat a friend from your meta, or the person who places highest/lowest in the event for a particular House.
The TO follows the AGoT tradition of offering a "Sansa" award to the player who places lowest in the main event without dropping. The Sansa award for this event will be a copy of the hard-to-find George R R Martin promo card from Gencon 2008.

Accommodations:
at least 10 players may stay at the Gamers Farm for free. Just bring your sleeping bag. if more space is needed, its possible to stay at the home of some local players (also for free).
there is a pizzeria, a mexican restaurant and a few pubs and restaurant with local food within the walkings ditance of a few minutes. also several supermarkets.
we will organize a barbecue on friday and saturday eveing.

the friendly athmosphere at the location is very special. the main goal is to have fun together. playiyng games all night and share some good food and drinks are major components of the event!
