There are questions to the significance of the open circle symbol on the A - Wing.
Looks like a new sun rising to me.

The helmet symbolized Kylo's inspiration from Vader/connection to Anakin.
He destroyed it in a rage in TLJ after he was humiliated by Snoke.
The rebuilt helmet is gonna be really appropriate with the whole Chosen One finale, I think.
