I was hoping that I could Post those today, since my copy of Dream-Eaters was supposed to come today. It was out for delivery all day and went back to the post office for some unfathomable reason, which of course is closed. 🙁Did anyone else get theirs today? I was really hoping to start looking at some Mandy deck options, since I had some downtime this is evening. If anyone has info on her or Luke, please share! Thanks!
Backs of Mandy and Luke
Someone on Discord put them up.
Mandy is:
Deck size 30, 40, or 50. Choose a secondary class from Survivor, Rogue, or Mystic. Seeker 0-5, up to 10 skills/events 0-1 of her secondary class. She gets one copy of her signature event at deck size 30, two at 40, and three at 50.
Luke is:
Core-style. Mystic 0-5, Seeker 0-2.
And for the other player cards not yet revealed:
Astounding Revelation (Seeker 0, Myriad): A Research event (like Mandy's signature) that cannot be played and gives you either 2 resources or a secret for discovering it.
Fortuitous Discovery (Survivor 0, Myriad): Costs X, where X is the number of (other) Fortuitous Discoveries in your discard. Investigate with +X intellect and discover X additional clues. (No skill icons, naturally).
Easy Mark (Rogue 1, Myriad): 0-cost event that gives you 2 resources and 1 card and lets you play every other Easy Mark in your hand immediately.

You are the best!! Thank you so much!
Ok, so Mandy is now officially the most egregious late-campaign user of Flare (get 2 allies at no additional cost!). Still probably going to play her with Rogue cards ("You Owe me One" + No Stone Unturned(5) on an ally gives unprecedented access to cross-class combos on-command, Double-or-Nothing is always nice to have for Deciphered Reality / Ancient Stone charging, and stuff like Slip Away could be good for early-game survivability), though.
Also, not related to her deckbuilding, but once you have a Charisma or two (needed for double-hits on Calling in Favors anyway), Anna Kaslow + 2x Death will be a nice late-game buy on Mandy.
I have been playing around with different builds for her. I have put together mystic secondary and survivor secondary and today I will work on rogue. They have maybe the best event pool. There are cards that I haven’t been able to bring together often and am excited about that aspect. But boy howdy does her deck fill up fast! With the downsides to a huge deck, I’m trying not to go that route. Any actual wording that says you have to keep the same deck size throughout a campaign?

Yes; the specific wording is "At deck creation, choose 30, 40 or 50."
I’m also happy to see that Luke is a mystic seeker. Not sure the benefits of that combo exactly but it’s one we don’t have yet. I suppose it could help him find his portals easier.
And we can think about events in seeker that can make use of his ability.
Edited by SoakmanNorman is kind of that way, especially in the 0 level build. I was surprised how well they worked together, even limited the way he is. Knowledge is Power is awesome synergistically, for example. I really liked Hawkeye Folding Camera for him because it gives a boost to both will and knowledge. No Stone Unturned can help find spells you need fast. And there are a lot of mystic relics that Dr Elli can hang onto for you.
Fortuitous Discovery sounds amazing.

I am looking heavily at Barricade. Normally it is removed from play when you leave its location but with Luke's ability to place it on a connecting location it can remain in play indefinitely creating a permanent barricade for hunters. Also Seeking Answers lets you investigate your location to discover a clue at a connecting location, Dream Gate has a shroud of 1 and is connected to all revealed locations.
Edited by VillefereAll of the support cards that read "choose an investigator at your location" become more valuable when you can increase their range. I could almost see myself using Guidance. You know, almost. So Logical Reasoning becomes an excellent choice. Anatomical Diagrams also becomes great since you can use it to help a friend in trouble anywhere on the map together with the Dream-Gate.
Thanks to the generous wording, you can use it for Response events too, so Crack the Case becomes easier to trigger.
While Knowledge is Power was already an auto-include, keep forever card for Luke, his ability makes it hilariously powerful, as it also allows you to Shrivel enemies at adjacent locations.
I was thinking the same thing about knowledge is power... I didn’t think that card could get any better but it is an auto include with Luke X2.

In smaller scenarios with enemies that spawn in empty locations like Cultists, an upgraded barricade on a location nobody is at can also funnel enemies where you want them to be in the case of furthest empty location instructions. And if you can’t follow the spawn instruction at all and the enemy doesn’t surge, you effectively canceled an encounter card.
nvm, it’s 3 xp so he can’t take it. 😟

Also quite handy in Wages of Sin and Undimensioned & Unseen, with their extreme mobility demands and unique spell assets. And you can teleport with Mists!
I just got my Dream-Eaters and looked at it a bit. It is going to be crazy!!
I have still not made my final investigator decisions, but very much narrowed them down. The flexibility for Mandy and Tony’s deck build is pretty nice. Depending on who is teaming with who, they can really help round out each duo, if they are teamed with a more classic build investigator.
I’m excited to play but we have a bedbug scare right now and everything has been put on hold ugh. If only I could somehow alter fate. 😭

Yikes! I am so sorry.🙁 My mom had them a few months ago and it was quite the drama. They are tough little buggers. She got new mattress pads that repel them and hot water wash of bedding every week. She had to spray every two weeks for a while, but they were eradicated eventually. 5 pip Shriveling could work, just don’t deny their existence!
