There’s an epic side event Saturday of worlds. Can’t imagine a way to play it without epic being released ahead of time. They reference missions that will be played by page number of what I assume is the scenario book.

i just hope this isn’t going to be an at-worlds early release fiasco... I don’t want my LGS to lose the preorder I have for it all.

Yeah, they mentioned itll be out either just before or at Worlds. Didnt seem like they knew themselves.

I'm sure there will be plenty of people there who have never played anything but standard. You could easily teach them a thing or two!

Well, the huge ship conversion kit and the epic battles expansion. You could do one without the other, but... why? 😛

i rarely get enough people together for single games, and people bother that xwing with multiplayer takes too long.

Good thing epic is more than that now. You can have games that are only 300 points in 2.0 value (so 50% bigger) and play it 3x3 with a mission objective. That’s in the book too! Epic is no longer “xwing but bigger” it’s “xwing scenario game options”, some of which but not all of which include huge ships and larger play areas.

In truth, I really do hope it turns up before then, because I don’t want to see it be a “hey, here’s the rule book go list build right now” at worlds.

I did enter the LCQ since I’m a local to the festivities (near enough anyway to make it easy without travel plans - ffg isn’t my home game store but downtown St. Paul is a drive I can make in the day). I don’t exactly plan on making cut (least of all making it all the way to day 2 of worlds!) so I am picking out my side event schedule now.

I still have money stuffed in an envelope that had been earmarked for GenCon purchases. Didn't buy anything as they didn't have anything!

I’m super glad that huge ships are being folded into “main,” and that Epic gets to go be its own thing. I don’t play main near enough as it is; I never got to play with my Epic ships.

Soon, my huge ships will be making a monthly appearance. (Well not each one, a rotation). My group is plotting an epic night option during our open play hours. Excellent.

I definitely know that I, for one, will be using my Gozanti and Raider in plenty of 200-pt games.

Unless it proves un-fun, but I rather doubt it would.

3- and 4- threat furballs will also be had.
