Miniature Market has shipped my Clone Wars Legion

Gen con and other cons should just be skipped by FFG. They announce stuff too early for them and throw that on top of that the crazy new release order/lack of Clone Wars releases, changing dates, announcing stuff not even a week after Gen con, and products being delayed. Seems like a better option would be to just stay away from major event announcements and just do it their normal way.

They would still have issues, but they would not be getting complaints about the stuff coming out next year.

Alternately, just announce stuff being released THAT YEAR. If they limited themselves to unannounced products that are due out in the latter half of the year, it wouldn't be quite as bad.

It also would be nice if we got an actual update from FFG on when this is getting released. Just release a statement stating 10/4 or 10/18 so there is not so much conjecture.

Arguably, we're back to "normal" for releases: We know the core set is due out some time in Q4 of 2019, high probability of October.

Yes, but since there has been such a debacle with this and the Dewback an actual statement in this case of release date would be nice

I didn't mean to disagree that it wouldn't be nice, it would always be nice to have an idea as to when to expect any of the product, regardless of if it is delayed or not. I was just pointing out that with FFG saying Q4 at this point, they have three whole months for any further random potential delays that won't result in the product being "late" again.

Plus, since a specific date was announced once I feel that they should announce the date again, but they may be trying to avoid a precedent, or there may be further potential delays we know nothing about.

I agree, I wasn't really trying to disagree with you just more disagreeing with FFG handling of these delays, either way I'm still excited for Clone Wars

This might carry a lot more weight if you couldn't make your own lists with the spoiled cards, play them on your own or use them on tabletop simulator.

I only play with my official stuff, I am fairly sure FFG would prefer me doing that then going out and finding ways to play that do not generate them money.

Oh they make plenty of money of of those of us using TTS. Just because we found a way to play with people in other time zones doesn't mean that we don't buy the physical product. It also has no impact on us going to live events where we have to have the physical product.
Also your complaint was that you would not have less time to -practice- with the new units. I gave you a solution to that. So, ya know, light a candle or curse the darkness. Your choice.

I do not enjoy playing on TTS. What does any of your argument have to do with them holding the release?

That's fine. If you don't enjoy playing on TTS that's entirely legitimate. But don't present it as some argument of how you're a better consumer than anyone else just because you only play games in meatspace while at the same time implying that anyone who does play in electronic space is some kind of freeloader.

I wan't ever addressing them holding the release and the rightness or wrongness of it. You were making a complaint that it was unfair and you wouldn't be able to practice with or against those units. I was offering you a solution to your immediate concern.

@Icelom, @Zrob314 is correct. You assumed if someone plays online that they are robbing FFG of sales. @Zrob314 merely gave you an option to practice. Keep in mind, there are many top players who use TTS and vassal.
