I was trying to create the ultimate force sensitive but otherwise stereotypical smuggler (pilot, gambler, gunslinger, con-man/woman, erstwhile face)

and I noticed something really cool...
if you use the hotshot's showboat you will either be adding a triumph if you succeed on the pilot check or a despair if you fail, but the racer's super human reflexes talent says once per session if you roll a despair on a pilot check you remove it and add a number of successes equal to your ranks in cool. assuming that you have 5 ranks in cool (for gambling and quick draws/initiative) using show boat, failing, getting a despair and converting that to 5 successes gives you a pretty good chance of turning the failing roll into a successful roll, and if you succeeded in the first place you get to add a triumph
