I haven't seen anything posted about the XP value of a deck that can be used. Does anyone know the parameters?

ALso for the various boardgames (Mansions, Eldritch, etc) I assume they have plenty of copies and we don't need to bring anything?

I may bring some painted Mansions minis in a bag and the LCG deck but no games if I can help it.

You can bring any legal deck under the parameters laid out in the rulebook. Basically, just add random basic weaknesses as indicated to make up for the experience you spend:

'0-9 experience: 0 additional random basic weaknesses

10-19 experience: 1 additional random basic weakness

20-29 experience: 2 additional random basic weaknesses

30-39 experience: 3 additional random basic weaknesses

40-49 experience: 4 additional random basic weaknesses

A player cannot include 50 or more experience worth of cards in a standalone deck.'

...and yes, they will have *tons* of copies of all the base games and expansions for all the Arkham Files games.

Thanks KBlumhardt. This is our first time coming all the way from Los Angeles so excited and lots of questions.

Do you know- we also love Eldritch Horror- how do they do the 16+ personal mega EH game with all expansions? Separate Tables of 4 with the same Boss that somehow link up? ANy idea?

At Origins 2016 it was 16 players round the same table with all the boards set up. You get your turn which takes about 2 minutes then you have 30 minutes of downtime while everyone else takes their turn. It took about 5 hours per game. But that was probably just the slot length.

At Arkham Nights 2015 the setup was the same but you had 5 minutes group discussing then all players took their turns simultaneously.

There is a nice write-up on BGG for the event and the rules are probably somewhere in the files section.

Pertaining to Arkham Horror 3e, but I'm still posting it here.

This is the schedule for the upcoming event:

We're going to ignore literally everything, except for second event on the right column:

Quote

11am, 3pm, 7pm - Arkham Horror 3rd Edition with Developer Phil Henry

Meet developer Phil Henry and experience dread in the Dead of Night! Phi will also be running the Arkham Nights-exclusive scenario Gates from Beyond, at 7pm.

What the heck is the Arkham Night-exclusive scenario Gates from Beyond? Are attendees getting an exclusive scenario to go with the promo investigator ("Ashcan" Pete will be released in a future expansion)?

I assumed it was the big 13 player game they ran last year... but that's apparently the 'Epic Multiplayer' event listed. Looks like it's a new scenario designed by Richard Launius. We'll definitely have to check that out!

I played the 13 player game last year. (I think we did the Azathoth one.) We all took our turns in clockwise order, then, after four players went, they'd draw their chaos tokens and then play would proceed to the next 4. Almost nobody moved because we were fairly well spread across the map.

We may have been in the same game. :)

I sure hope they use rules like the Arkham 15 for Eldritch. Simultaneous turns would make it much more streamlined and less downtime.

Looking forward to it all and playing Mansions with some designers. When do they start opening up sign-ups? Before or once you get their for the weekend?

They open up during the event, typically a few hours before each game.

Thanks again KBlumhardt.

Should I bring all my weaknesses or do people select them beforehand?

Before hand is fine. But you can select on site if you'd rather.

Why can they never give more than a month’s notice?! I’ll have to see what I can do...

Thanks for flagging it, though, much appreciated!

Genius! Everyone gets a resource and an extra action.

18 brave investigators faced off against 8L-08 last night, at the Danish Arkham Nights.

Most survived the encounter, and it is a great multiplayer scenario.

In Roseville the Blob had 1500+ health so over 100 investigators! It was a blast!

Someone posted these on eBay:

Talked to Matt. Apparently both teams were given the option to create a weakness or player card. His group started with a player card bias, but nearly swapped to weakness before they were done.
