Who are your favorites to play?
I've only run games, but on concept alone, I like Hawkbat and the folks in Heart of the Empire, Tyrants of Lothal, and Jabba's Realm. My girlfriend had a ball playing with Jyn and Gaarkhan.

Fenn and Biv are two of my favorite go-to, and I have head-cannon about their friendship. I like Vinto and and Onar as well. The last campaign I ran was the Jabba's realm on the app and I used those 4.
No idea why, but I've always had a soft spot for Murne ever since her release. Ithorians are cool, I guess?
Game-wise, I just love how unexpectedly tanky she can be if you build her around the Lead form the Front card.
Tress is satisfying to play as since her kit (regardless how you build it) is very much a self-feeding machine of destruction.
Verena's kinda spikey with her output (especially since the Imp can counter-play against her), but when it works to her favor she can wipe out an entire squad.
And yeah, Murne's just fun to play with. Surprisingly fun/thematic.

Murne is kind of ridiculous. You take a look and say "He's an interesting support character," and your friend says "She, Murne's female." But that's not relevant so you ignore your friend an keep referring to her as "he" for the rest of the campa--wait what was I saying? Oh right, Lead from the Front changes her from an odd but good support character into a killing machine.

I watched her and Gaarkhan combine to wipe out two squads of stormtroopers during Gaarkhan's activation, mid campaign. I was too impressed to be upset that they took 12 threat off the board before I even got my first turn of the mission.
Personally, I've always had a soft spot for Saska. I wouldn't call her a favorite because, as it stands, she's only ever made it to the table during a solo LotA campaign. I usually tell players that she's an "advanced" character, because you really need to have a plan with her when you start the campaign and the other rebel players usually need to be on board with it so that you can get the equipment you need.
Edited by Uninvited GuestBiv is a dangerous man in a 1v1. Come at me bro! He often comes through in the end when you need one of those big dangerous finale battle bosses taken out.
I actually like all of them- but I am a bit biased cause I wrote backstories for each of them here in the forums (they have more meaning to me now after be better fleshed out).
Biv just happens to sit on the throne; cause he reminds me of the punisher.
Edited by King_BalrogMy gf loooooves Onar for some reason 😁 I myself, when I'm not Imp'ing, had a lot of fun playing Vinto although Diala has my favorite character-mission. My best bud found his alter-ego in CT-1701 "Wildfire", and another friend of ours made life hellfire for the Imp player (i.e. me) playing Verena (which is also the name of her daughter, so double-win there!). As an Imp, I think the hero I hate the most is Jyn... SO ANOYING!! 😉
Edited by angelman2Aesthetically wise, I love Onar, Biv, Murne, and Shyla.
To play, I really enjoy Vinto and Davith. Diala seems like she'd be fun, too.

I haven't read them all in depth, but bravo! These look amazing!
This thread is why I love IA. Having non-canon heroes that we can relate to, and build our own stories around is what people mean when they talk about Star Wars as a sandbox. I like that canon characters show up from time to time, but they aren't necessary, and I'd rather be part of the war effort that isn't in any way part of the Skywalker saga.
Favourite characters? Woo boy.
Diala is one. Playing a support jedi was super cool! As well as being able to force push VADER like the world's most evil yo-yo and then flinging your lightsabre across the room. (Still want to play her again and get the Bo rifle. The idea of Diala snapping off a shot at a target then flinging the weapon at them is hilarious.)
Tress has been super fun as well. Her mechanics give her super action efficiency, to the point I attempted a pacifist run. (No killing, but throwing people was ok, gravity hurt the stormtroopers.) Her super mobility was amazing.
Verena was also super fun! Being able to do the Close Quarters into step, into Close Quarters again and again was super entertaining, not to mention the head cannon for how she managed to use a Nexu to smack someone (grabbed the tail and swung it around clearly.)
Honestly, the only melee I found to not be crazy fun was shyla. And that's because she just blended everything. Not really much style, just a whole lot of KO'd stormtroopers.
My favorite by far is Loku.
He is a bit of a glass canon, but he’s really fun to play. Placing his tokens on enemies for +1 damage really adds up and his ability that allows characters to ignore characters for line of sight when targeting a character with the token is awesome. I like to keep him at a distance and just pick characters off like a sniper should.
I’m also a big fan of Murne, Davith, and Gaarkhan.

Thanks friend. Always happy to hear somebody finds my efforts entertaining.
I've only ever done a solo game with LotA, but I really enjoy Murne and Davith, for story purposes more than gameplay really. I like to imagine them as an unlikely duo, paired together out of need more than preference, but bonding together over the course of their missions and becoming a tight-working machine. I dunno, I just think they make a nice dynamic duo.

I love coming up with these sort of stories! Especially with those two.
I imagined Davith being a Jedi Youngling who escaped the Purge ONLY because he was rescued by Senator Murne Rin. Murne took Davith to her homeworld where she hid him and raised him. They both got involved in the Rebel Alliance, with Davith being assigned to mostly stealth missions.
I find the campaigns more fun when I come up with connections between the characters.

Absolutely. And that's a good story idea for the two of them.

doubly fun when the Imperial Player jumps in on the action and starts tailoring their field deployment and flavor text to match what's going on with the heroes.
Loku is my go-to for most campaigns. I just have too much fun sniping and setting up shots for rest of team.
I like to focus on supply crates during a campaign so Scouting Report is a must. I often team him up with Mak or Ko-Tun to really max out those crates.
Super fun topic. I like Verena. She can be such a tank. When I am the IP I hate Mak. Always found it hard to draw a bead on that sneaky little Bothan... super annoying.
I think Jarod is probably the least fun to play against as the Imp ... mostly because he can very quickly turn into an invincible tank with his parry, autoblock upgrades, etc.
Drokkatta is my favourite. Wookie with a grenade launcher.

My least favorite to play against is Shlya by far. Moving for free, attacking with the Vibroblade (I think, it’s the one that you take a strain to deal 1 damage to all adjacent figures), then Cleaving for 3 is one of my least favorite memories as the Imperial.
That campaign was the first campaign where we ever had a character withdraw and I made Shyla withdraw probably 3 times total.
One guy in my game group HATES facing Murne, which I can understand.

I was playing Imp against a jabba's campaign crew. We played the mission involving the Sarlacc tile ... I think Shyla threw 5 figures into that pit during the drawn out battle. lol
all of them
