Rebel chewie..or komigila

By Delta8, in X-Wing Squad Lists

In a worlds qualifier. Wanting to run rebel chewie or a kimogila build. Thoughts?

Torani Kulda is actually really good. You put on cluster missiles to shoot twice, and include R5-TK and munitions failsafe. If you get an enemy ship in your bullseye, you attack them with cluster missiles and do your damage from the ability, and then shoot at a friendly ship at range 1 (if there's no other enemy ship), using munitions failsafe to cancel the attack, but it still triggers Torani's ability.

An idea:

Nice. Very good build..and agreed on all points

That Torani, Seevor, Mux, Old T. build made the cut at the NOVA Open. It's a solid mix of tricks.

I've been toying with Fenn(Predator), Torani(Clusters, R5-TK, Failsafe) and 2x Cartel Marauders at 200pts; mostly because I really enjoy Fenn. I've played a few games with it and it has done pretty well. I lock the front Marauder and smash him in to go for blocks to set up Torani's shenanigans. It works because Torani and the Kihraxzes are threatening enough that they can't be ignored so Fenn has some space to maneuver and do his thing, but I don't know if it's good enough to make cuts.

The biggest issue I've had is the Marauders rolling a lot of blanks on defense and popping really early. Doesn't happen every match, but when it does it hurts because I'm losing a potential blocker and a solid three dice gun.
