So, flipping around in this book, I noticed that the Boot Blade attachment has an encumbrance value now, of 2. This is up from having none in Cyphers and Masks. For reference, an Ion Pike has an encumbrance value of 2. Seems like an odd choice, for a retractable boot knife.

Do y'all think this was a misprint, or a balance pass possibly?

I would honestly ignore it, it seems very odd to me.

one thing I'm a little annoyed by is the fact that they chose to not include all the weapon and armor qualities. I mean sure, you can just learn them but some are pretty rare (concussive?) and it would have been nice to have references in a gear book. also illustrations for all items would have been top notch. I like the book but it feels a bit low effort tbh, especially compared to basically all the other books.
the best part about it is the attachment section.

I’ve noticed there are a number of goofs in this book.

I am going through it right now and typing all the stats up for https://theouterrim.co/ and have found things like where the Light Repeating Blaster has the proper fluff for the LRB as compared to other books, but where the stats are clearly a cut-n-paste from the Heavy Blaster Rifle, which is actually a rather different weapon.

IMO, where G&G differs from other books on the stats, I would trust the other books. You’re welcome to prefer the fluff from G&G, if you like.

Probably. I had found a similar misprint with the Integrated Comlink between two different books. The original book said it required no Hard Points, the later book said it required one. I reported the discrepancy to the developers, and they confirmed that the latter version was a misprint.

Here's the post:
