:)

hehe, this is "infinite" in the same world that most of my overly-complex scum shenanigan ideas actually accomplishes anything.

But both these lists are quite something in terms of high ini.

Anakin and Plo is not overly complex. It shouldn't be terribly difficult to keep Range 0-2 between Plo and Anakin. Keeping Anakin at range 1 of anything might be a different story. It is 111 points between the two of them. It is an interesting combo though. I'm not sure it is particularly broken though.

Could be fun to fly as you're going to have to really leverage all that initiative and re-positioning to get range 1 shots and overcome all those other 2 die attacks.

It will be interesting to try as the Republic Y is not that maneuverable, Annakin can potentially do alot to over come the lack of blue maneuvers but at the end of the day it is still a pretty limited dial. Just the lack of options will potentially let people catch you. You also have no bid, so if you run into someone with 5 and 6's of their own they can potentially give you a lot of trouble.

Interesting and the type of play I love. Absolutely!

Complex to understand. No.

Broken. Definitely not.

But overly complex to execute, again, I have to say it is.

To keep up with an "infinite" 5 die attack:

  • You have a 44 point ship spending his precious 1 force a turn to remove the disarm from reloading.
  • You have to reload your gun every turn. So no other action options.
  • You have to spend 1 force on Anakin to keep shooting off the Torpedo using Instinctive aim.
  • You have to spend a 2nd force on Anakin a turn or keep moving in a straight line (only blue on dial is 1s and 2s) to get rid of the stress.
  • All the while keeping an enemy at R1 in arc and Plo in R2.

Just to have an unmodified 5 dice attack at R1. (Unless ofc you are willing to spend yet another Force on anakin to modify the shot).

*Edit. My bad. Not unmodified. Built in crit.

Anankin is good, but even his Force is not that strong.

So that's careful maneuvering on 2 ships, 1 action and 2 or 3 force used.

Compared to say... Bare Talonbane or Fenn Rau. Hey look... If he keeps an enemy at R1 he has infinite 5 dice attack, for 50/68 points.

Careful maneuvering... and nothing else.

Heck... its only 7 points more and both of them can independently have "infinite" R1 5 die attacks.

*Edit. Also, my comments are not based on the entire list. I think it's a nice idea. My comment was simply in response to the very clever but complex "infinite" 5 die attack.

**Edit. Lastly, this was not meant as an attack of any sort. It was just a happy scum player, used to coming up with "clever" lists or combos only to find that another army can do everything he came up with by using a single ship. It was just weird to have the tables turned for once, so I couldn't keep my big Scum mouth shut. ;)
