Corellian Conflict - destroyed ship and fleet building - SOLVED

By sasska, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

Hi there!

Let's assume we have a fleet with it's point cost 420. We are playing the CC campaign and we lost our good old Salvation. It was scarred, so now it's gone completely. Costed 58 points. So we are down to 362 pts.

Now do we have the option to add a ship in its space, or we simply lost the boy, - and assuming we gain no resource - do we have to deploy a 362 points fleet?

(I know we can always make a fleet to retire, and build a new 400 pts fleet. BTW if we build a new fleet during the campaign, we have to keep the initial CC fleet building rules in sight right?)

I've read through the rules a few times, but for me its a little bit confusing.

You simply lost it.

You'll have to deploy short-handed until you have the Resources and Refit points to purchase a replacement. However, that replacement can be anything you can afford , it doesn't necessarily have to be a Nebulon-B if that is what you lost. (And Indeed, it can't be Salvation, as that unique card is now destroyed.)

And yes. If you retire a fleet, there are 2 things to consider:

1) Anything unique in the retired fleet is considered Dead and Destroyed and thus unavailable anymore to anyone. This includes Admirals.

2) You build a new fleet, but only 1 Upgrade per Ship is allowed, until it has played its first game.
