I'm kind of surprised FFG didn't do a Maul and let Annakin take dark side force upgrades if Palpatine is in the squad, actually.

As thematic as that would be, I don't want to think about hate on anakin. Don't need to make them more OP than they already are!
In all honesty, I wouldn't mind seeing this, but you could easily do this as an 'alternate version of the pilot'.
If we see it, though, I'd expect to see it 'later' - I'd almost guarantee we'll see the jedi Eta Actis at some point, and that seems more appropriate for a version of Anakin with "you may equip dark side upgrades" and maybe a different pilot ability.
I'm sure someone will mention Hera in a B-wing, with Quarrie's prototype linked min-superlaser-thing.
I'd expect the ETA-2 version of Annie to be able to take Hate, if any.
and his "codename" should be Darth Vader.

He wasn’t separatists at that point he was imperial. So he should actually belong to the empire.

I don’t believe the Empire was formally formed in that grandiose Senate scene until after Palps first called him Darth Vader, so technically Anavader was an agent of the Republic first.

Reminds me of the Attacktix Separatist Clone Troopers, which confused me to no end as a kid before RotS dropped.
With hate Ani could destroy their own ships... I'm not convinced to that. It could be something else, maybe additional attack spending all his force tokens.
