Using Rebel Falcon ship in a Scum build

By Parrottbrian, in X-Wing Rules Questions

I have 2 YT-1300 (Rebel Alliance) models from 1.0. If I want to build a Scum squad using Scum YT-1300 dials from the Scum 2.0 Conversion kits, can I use the 1.0 models? Would it be tournament legal? Or do I have to use 2 Lando's Falcon models?

Thanks

Multiple Faction Ships
All ship cards and ship bases in a player’s squad must belong to the same
faction. If a player’s ship has different versions in more than one faction, the
player may use any version of the miniature and dial that match the full ship
name when assembling a squad. All dials must be from Second Edition. Plastic
dial backs from the premium maneuver dial kit may be used.

(Page 4 paragraph7 in the tournament rules)

As long as your opponent knows that it is a Scum Falcon and you have all the components to represent it as such, there shouldn't be a problem. I would contact the tournament TO to have complete approval.

There are no scum yt1300 dials in the scum kit. They're only in the Landos Falcon pack.

Oh... good point.

(also, arguably, the three Falcons are different ships, not the same ship in three different factions. They have different dials, and different names)

Oh yea...lol. True.

This one is a bit messy. The rules allow you to use any version of a ship's miniature as long as it is the same ship. You can use any of the 3 models for the BTL-A4 Y-Wing as the model for Horton Salm, but you could not use the new BTL-B Y-Wing for Horton. Since all 3 Falcons have different ship names (Customized, Modified, and Salvaged) technically you cannot use one model in place of another, but I don't think I have ever heard of a judge enforcing that since they are literally all the same ship with just different parsec-age.

Though in this case, you need to buy the customized YT-1300 to get the dial so it's not the most relevant.
