Card Organization: Homemade Card Dividers

By Herowannabe, in X-Wing

Many months ago I set out to find some printable card dividers for organizing my collection of 2.0 Pilot and upgrade cards. There were a couple of options out there on the interwebs, but none that were quite what I wanted, so I designed and made my own. I didn't think too much of it at the time, but last week at a tournament I had to bring out my card collection to find some cards, and several people saw what I had done and wanted to know where they could find the files to make their own. So that lit a fire under me to finally get the files up to date (I had only done dividers up through wave 2 or 3) and share them online.

So if you're interested, here you go:

I designed the dividers to be very minimalist and printer friendly. They are double sided, and can be used horizontally or vertically. Instructions for how to make them are in the file above, though really they should be pretty self explanatory.

I'll do my best to keep the files up to date with new releases. If you notice any errors or anything, let me know!

Enjoy!

You have done well, young Jedi.

Yeah after trying to do the divider thing I gave up and went this route, it's definitely the way to go

Also got coin boxes and did the same for dials

Dividers for Dials and the cardboard bases are next on my to do list. My current dial/base storage is a mess.

Yeah, I have the small bases in the coin boxes as well, and they fit nicely inside the HF organizer bins. I have one bin for good/bad/scum, all the bases/dials/ships for each in a single tray, then a 4th bin for generic pieces

Looks like i have yet another project for this afternoon...

This is perfect timing! Thanks much

Nicely done, young padawan..

This is awesome! I am actually printing these out as we speak and cutting them up for all the stuff I have. Any chance you will be updating these with the latest ships or if you could give insight into how i could alter these so i could put the latest ships in ;)

I haven't updated it recently, but I will once wave 6 is officially released in a week or two and they get the X-Wing font updated with the new stuff. I believe @geordan is the amazing genius behind that project.

These are great, thanks so much!

I have 3 prize binders from hyperspace, one for each of my factions, might need 4th for generics, but where wasn't enough tournaments around to win it.

I have access to 3D printers and made up a few of these. Files are on Thingiverse under Movement Dial trays for 2.0. There are other ones of varying sizes on there as well.

I must have meant to say "After giving up on the *binder* route..." since I use dividers now, similart to OP and you (except w coin boxes)

Dials falling over in the coin boxes can be an issue. I throw in some medium bins from the HF organizer to prevent it, but your 3d printed solution is obviously much nicer.

Just so you know there is a font that has each of the ships, good for 2d printing dividers and also can be used for 3d printing, though of course needs to be printed sufficiently large in relation to your nozzle diameter and/or layer height.
