Anyone know if there will be an expansion for the prequels/clone wars cartoon series?
i'd like to see the LAAT and droid gunship as in the game at some point.
Prequel expansion?
Look at the Galactic Republic and Separatist Alliance Expansions:

Iām sure there will be more to come. Personally, I want to be able to park AT-TEs on asteroids
It's likely, thoguh not confirmed yet, that the LAAT will be in the next wave which has Republic content (probably wave 8, the first one in 2020) as it features in card artwork for wave 6.

if it is, it better be slower than pond water and have crap armor/armament. Strictly a personnel carrier. But i doubt it. It will probably be a 2 dice turret ship with a gunner/2x crew slots with a worse dial than their Y-wing and weak armor.
If we see the LAAT soon, i want it to have ALL the guns. im thinking Full arc (probably not a turret since the wookie shuttle is based off of it , and its got a full arc.) but potentially even a rear arc, or at least just a Rear bullseye arc with its little gun on the back! if the resistance bomber cover 3 arcs at i time, I dont think this would be too absurd.
nothing needs to be too powerful, but im thinking if it can shoot almost anywhere, except for blindspots around the rear corners, that could be quite an interesting addition.

um.. what little gun on the back? To my knowledge, it has no rear firing gun. also, there is no rear bullseye. So thats not possible.
Resistance bomber was given 3 arcs because its slow, large base and has two turrets that can cover all arcs. LAAT has turrets on the wings that can cover the rear arc, which may be what you are referring to. To me, i think a full arc wouldn't be appropriate. Dual Turret arc seems to fit better.
What about 2 lateral arcs with 2 dice and a bullseye with 3 or 4 dice? That would be fun. I would love to see a ship with fixed lateral arcs.
I've thought it would be an interesting option to give it the traditional bowtie arc, but not allow rear shots.
Basically it can shoot out the sides with 2-3 dice, but when it goes front/back the back arc doesn't count. Instead it gains an extra die out the front (to represent the bubble turrets firing on the same target instead of ones out the side).

Or two turret indicators that can be pointed to one side or to the front. When both are at the front, one extra die.
A bowtie with an arrow pointing backwards that doesn't allow you to shoot backwards would be very weird.

There is a little gun back there, but according to the cross section it's more of a door gun to cover disembarking troops so maybe not suitable for space combat. Which explains why no effort was made to defend against the Geonosian fighters chasing them in AotC.
They are troop transport ships, not starfighters. I doubt they'll show up

Or the Lambda, Upsilon and Resistance Transport.

Those have less of an argument because they are still space transports and have armaments to defend themselves on the way to landing zones.

That has less of a place, but even that makes somewhat of a sense. I can see the need for a small troop transport that can disembark troops on the ground quickly (something the shuttles cant really do). The fact that its specialize for in atmo use kinda bugs me and in my eyes, puts it on the same level as a LAAT. Now the Tie Striker, i dont think should have been put in the game as from the specs ive seen, performs like **** in space. So its stats in the game make no sense.
That said, As much as i dont think the LAAT has a place in X-wing, im sure we will eventually see it for the same reason we have the reaper/striker. Because it appeared in movies, and its more content they can sell. They are probably just trying to work out its place in a space dog-fight without making it overly weak or overly powerful (think they learned their lesson from the wookie gunship).
