Dewback spur ability non-functional?

By Mep, in Star Wars: Legion

Dewbacks have been "On The Boat" since April. I am not sure they are able to do a speed 1 move let alone spur for a speed 2 move. Anyways, hope dewbacks can float, otherwise they just might be at the bottom of the ocean.

They were supposed to come out same time as the Shoretroopers, but have been delayed a few weeks by the Dewbacle! They came from the factory packed with the wrong sized base, so FFG is repackaging them.

Dewbacks had a packing issue that required them to be delayed as they had to open and switch all the bases.

Ahh, okay, thanks for the info. That is unfortunate. Least they aren't on the bottom of the ocean.

...basically a basic basis base debasement...

Dude to the wrong bases everyone misjudged how long it would take for the Dewbacks to travel.

I think the poor old thunder lizard is going to have a hard time when it lands too. Oddly enough it may have been better off with it's larger base, but we'll see.

It looks much better on a huge base.
The large one seems very impractical, the head and tail overhang it by quite a lot.

More practically, it also gives the dewy an extra 30-60mm (1 1/4-2 1/4" roughly for you imperial measuring folk) on it's charge range (depending on double moves). Coming from xwing, that means a lot in mobility terms.....

Yeah, it means it can Spur into your opponent's deployment zone turn 1 if you use New Ways to motivate them...on Long March deployment.

Which means tauntans can do that without any tricks, wounds or suppression and wont require one of the most expensive commanders in the game, unless I'm mistaken.

No, since their base size is two sizes smaller than the one I'm talking about (literally half as long), as well as I don't know of another way to get them an extra full-speed move?

Stop giving me Warmachine/Hordes flashbacks.

Dewbacks are so named for the species’ habit of licking the morning dew from their backs with their tongues.

Yep.
